CT 8 This is one of the best limited series I've ever seen. The setting is bleak and perfect. Andre and the rest of the cast are excellent. Some nice twists and turns along the way and you have the makings of a classic series. Not quite sure why Europe seems to be producing such high quality programs these days while Hollywood is producing nothing but garbage, but I'll take quality film making where I can get it. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 12/17/23 Full Review Kanetsidohi K The typical tropes of any murder mystery may be found in here but, there were part when I thought the story would go the obvious way, and it didn't, having an interesting turn instead. Ten episodes may have been a little too long though, the same story could have been told in eight episodes or less, without losing its essence. HOWEVER, the dark, claustrophobic setting of the whole town, was very well done, alike an horror movie more than a mystery one. In general, the characters were good but a special mention has to be made about the three police officers, which carry the whole plot not just because of the obvious requirements of the movie gender but because they came out as sincere, and relatable individuals, thus making their interactions, and the investigative parts, fun and worth the watch Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review petar p This is an absolute classic in the making. Really, there is no need to make a list, basically everything is perfect. Characters feel realistic, they make realistic decisions, policemen are not like Sherlock Holmes, they make decisions which are impulsive, rushed, and most importantly-human. I haven't seen a town backstory so fantastically interwoven into the present plot. Also, there are like 4 or more subplots that all interwove into a single point in the final. When you look at it later, you just marvel at it, it is just so brilliant. This is a must watch for gritty and realism grounded detective tv shows fans. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review eric s Holy shit how did this rank 100%? So disappointing. Everything about this is meh. Story, acting, dialogue, plot…it's like an unnecessarily long generic TV crime drama with tepid soap opera drama that goes no where. Scenery is great. Could have easily been pared down to 6 episodes. And still would be just ok, but wouldn't take as much time away from watching another Nordic noir more fulfilling. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Really liked it. Visually nicely presented, cold and gritty, nice twists and detective process, however story did feel a bit slow at times. Not sure, perhaps it is meant to be so and that is just a characteristic of the Nordic noire? Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Manny P Along with The Bridge, it opened the door to Scandinavian noir. Superb. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/30/21 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
