I have this on DVD and wanted it for my digital library as well. If you’re into gore, funny enough horror movies where you actually root for one of the zombies/demon creatures, you’ll probably like this movie.

Most of the characters just weren't likable, so I didn't find myself caring too much about what happened to any of them, so there was no thrill in the movie, really. I complain about this in *a lot* of movies though, so maybe that's just a quirk about me. Story line wasn't terrible; I can say that I've never seen a movie with a story line similar to this one before.. Special effects were good enough for a movie like this; no complaint there. The movie dragged itself out a bit too long and had too many unnecessary scenes that didn't add much to the movie. I think if they didn't go so overboard making all of the kids seem like awful sleazebags, and if the zombies acted more, well, like zombies and less like comic characters, the movie would have been a lot better. This movie wanted to be about a young lady's revenge but it really lost itself in the "trailer park" theme. Despite that I "bought" (not rented) the digital version of this movie, I can say for sure that I'm not going to watch it twice.

would have had this a long time ago if blu-ray was released in US.

Well, if this ain't one knee slappin' redneck rendezvous from hell; Yeehaa! I thought this movie was very entertaining, to the point of hilarious in some instances. No, not the so-bad-it's-laughable type of film; It's really good all the way down to the raucous humor in it. The plot works well and the characters are believable, as are the excellent effects and makeup; good cinematography as well. I'm critical of the zombie type of horror films, especially when they make attempts at humor too. This one just pulls it off, kind of in the same way "Dead Alive" does. This movie is definitely reminiscent of "2001 Maniacs" though; If you liked that one, give this a try and I doubt you'll be disappointed.
I took away a star because this is not the perfect movie of course. I also really wished that Trace Adkins had more screen time. Even in the little time he had in this you can see the talent, and ow what a hunk.
*Possible SPOILER here*: Also, there was one character that no explanation was ever offered as to what happened to him, and left me wondering.

Great movie to enjoy with friends. I talked about this movie to some friends for years and when I finally saw that it was on amazon I had to buy it because sharing is in fact caring. Plot is not bad at all. It's no block buster but I didn't feel like it was playing into a cliché or that it was trying to be something other than what it was, a gritty what I would call "Slasher" movie. It's not overly suspenseful, but will give you a could of good laughs guaranteed. I will admit that I probably wouldn't show this to smaller children that you are concerned about content, however there are way worse movies out there that they could see. If you are one of those "The gore just doesn't look realistic" people you may not enjoy this either. it wasn't filmed with a Saw or Logan style budget so the gore is a little bit lower quality however it was great enough for me and my friends and there was plenty of it.
In the end I would have no problem wanting to watch this again.

I dont want to spoil it so ill just say its worth the money(i got it relativley cheap) but its got a sweet story, good acting and lets not forget GORE!!! Check it out you wont be disappointed.Pretty much a girl who is abused and mistreated by the freakish inhabitants of the trailer-park,Darla plans on leaving the park with a boyfriend but he gets killed by the inhabitants. Darla makes a deal with the devil & goes back for her much deserved revenge. Fast forward 30-40 years as the paper clippings in the news say missing people still not found. Well on rainy nights this "park" suddenly appears and entrances them in a sadistic game of perverse suffering & sin. It is all a part of the deal made with the devil,to take the souls of the sick, the weak & the only twist is the ending. That surprised me but hey it is cool. Gore galore, lots of adult graphic scenes and alot of zombie terror. Fun B splatter film with a good story.

I was expecting to be let down again, since i had a few flops come my way... This movie is pretty darn cool. Seems the main complaint is that the people in the park aren't zombies. They are, but they aren't. They are the damned - much like 2001 maniacs. This is a story of someone basically selling their soul for revenge, and damning all in the trailer park. They are generally zombies and "do" eat people, it was mentioned a couple times. They can only be out at night though so they do not follow typical zombie rules. The movie is fun and gory with rockabilly flair. I have basically mentioned 2001 maniacs and that is mostly what this is like, so if you enjoyed that film - this is close to it.

It's almost impossible to distinguish between good B movies and extremely poor low budget crap ones because they usually do such a good job of making the DVD cover art so appealing to us. I hate when movies look so cool on their front and back cover, only to discover that the contents of the disc are total trash. Well, this trailer park of a movie deserves it's cool cover art! Nice production and certainly does not feel like cheap low budget crap, like so many others in this genre. Awesome make-up effects with CG used sparingly. A group of youngsters on a bus trip find themselves stranded and run into some fun with trailer park demon zombies. I can't believe there aren't more reviews for this movie. If you liked movies like Evil Dead 2, From Dusk till Dawn 1, and House of 1000 corpses, you will definitely like this trailer trash!

"Where's my meat?"

Norma has grown up in a trailer park, she's finally met a nice man and she has hopes of love and escaping from her dull, sleazy life. When she goes to meet up with him, a couple of the rednecks who also live in the trailer park end up killing him. Norma storms off and bumps into a man, the man talks her into seeking revenge and escape and gives her a gun. She goes back to the park and kills everyone, she then proceeds to kill herself. This happened in 1981, it's now 2008 and we are with Pastor Lewis and six problem teens (three boys and three girls) who are travelling back from God camp. It's raining heavily and the Pastor crashes the van into a vehicle parked in the middle of the road, they get out and discover a sign that leads them to a trailer park. Once there it appears as though the park is abandoned, until they come across Norma who offers to take them in for the night. Before long they discover that Norma isn't all she seems to be, and all the people she killed 27 years ago are decomposed zombies intent on killing them.
The film is pretty well acted considering the actors know how ludicrous the plot is, everybody plays their roles in a certain way that you can only get away with in a film like this. It's extremely tongue in cheek and has no illusions of being anything other than a fun horror comedy, it's because of this that I felt the movie worked. Norma played by Nichole Hiltz really reminded me of Jaime Pressly in My Name Is Earl, both in terms of looks and accent.
It's a straight to DVD movie but had a budget of $3,250,000, a much higher budget than this type of movie normally gets. It's been put to good use as the zombie make-up all looks very good, the picture also looks like a big budget film instead of the very grainy poor quality you sometimes get. There wasn't as much gore or nudity as I expected, I assumed the dialogue and acting would be awful so they would just throw bucket loads of sex and blood at us. I was happy to discover that they didn't feel they had to resort to it, as there is plenty of good effects, dialogue and laughs to do without it.
The film that I was most reminded of whilst watching this was the 2001 Maniacs remake, if you enjoyed that film then Trailer Park Of Terror is similar and I can't imagine you not liking this. If truth be told, I actually found this a little more enjoyable. I happened to really like the soundtrack, and felt it added to the film. Certainly not going to go down as a classic, but it's very fun and horror fans with a sense of humour should enjoy it. There's some pretty decent extras on the disc, including a making of and cast interviews with the actors in their zombie make up.

A fun horror romp
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on February 21, 2009
This is a decent, fun, independent horror movie. It gets straight into the action and keeps pace throughout. It has an 80s' feel; it is probably most comparable to the Return of the Living Dead style of movies. It is neither a serious horror movie nor an all out comedy which is mostly fine, but sometimes it seems to switch between extremes which spoils the flow.
The best thing about this movie is that the zombies are the stars. A lot of thought has gone into the characters and the result is a fantastic assortment of unashamedly stereotypical trailer trash zombies: some are funny, some are freaky, some are beautiful!
The script is reasonable (there are some fantastic one-liners) and special effects are good (same team that worked on Pet Sematary) although there is nothing particularly original in terms of the visuals. The film was directed by Steven Goldman, who has a background in making country music videos. This music influence is felt throughout the movie and bizarrely enough it is effective.
If you are a true fan of old school horror and like a bit of fun with your gore, then you will undoubtedly enjoy Trailer Park of Terror. If you only watch the occasional mainstream horror then this probably isn't for you.

"Where's ma meat"?

Plenty of the red stuff here sees a woman wanting to escape her dirt bag life in a trailer park. She does a deal with 'the man in black' who she meets on the road and then the massacre begins. Interesting plot line only because her sworn enemies become partners in crime in death. Needing blood one would expect the dead get excited when a bunch of kids and a counselor crash into their truck in the rain and have to stay in the park. Story then becomes the predictable who will die next syndrome. Lots of CGI gore but some of it does look good. Trailer Park of Terror is a success mostly on the acting front which is excellent for this type of film, although all the best lines come from the bad guys. The obnoxious teens you've seen in a thousand other films. The theme of sex almost overtakes the horror here.
Tragically this was Steven Goldmann's last feature before his death. Goldmann was more known for directing music videos and there is a heavy influence of this here, with the way the movie has been shot and edited and we get a rather nifty and catchy musical interlude too!

You know what sort of film you are in for when it starts with two hillbilly types talking about Herschell Gordon Lewis. As the title suggests it's set on a trailer park and we soon meet all the trash that live there. All the characters who live there are real fun but Norma the trailer park queen soon kills them and burns down the park.
Twenty or so years later a god bother-er and his group of misfit kids get stranded at the trailer park where an undead Norma offers them accommodation for the night. As the group retire they are greeted to the returning trailer park zombies and much silly gore and shenanigans. The movie presents nothing new, it is light heated fun for about the first hour then some scenes feel a little long as it nears the end. The DVD comes with a great comic thats fun.
