Toulouse player ratings: Pita Ahki centre of attention in powerful win over Racing 92
Following Toulouse’s 31-7 win over Racing 92 in the Champions Cup, here are our player ratings for the winning team.
Mixed backline
15 Blair Kinghorn: The full-back looks nothing short of invigorated in Toulouse colours and it showed again as he ran hard when he got the chance while also patrolling the backfield with aplomb. Adds a steeliness to the team’s backline. 7
14 Juan Cruz Mallia: The Argentine handed his fellow winger a free try at the end of a well-worked move but was relatively quiet otherwise and would have been unhappy missing four tackles. 5

13 Pierre Louis Barassi: Went off with an injury after a solid opening 23 minutes. N/A
12 Pita Ahki: Once again a lot of good from Toulouse ran through the centre who sparked a lovely try with a half break down the left side. Always makes metres with the ball and always makes tackles. Some player he is. 9
11 Matthis Lebel: Hot-stepping, electric running from the wing who finished off a lovely team try. Elsewhere, he was a threat all game long and beat four defenders breaking the line twice. 7
10 Romain Ntamack: It was a neat return from injury for the fly-half who looked up to speed for the most part as he guided his team around the park. Beat five defenders and got better as the game went on. 70 minutes in the legs is massive for the flair-filled playmaker. 6
9 Antoine Dupont: In a game that was quiet by his standards the superstar still managed a try assist, 73 metres with ball in hand, 11 carries and nine tackles. Never made a poor decision all game long and had the team purring with quick choices from the base. 8
Hard-working forwards
8 Alexandre Roumat: A fairly standard day at the office for the number eight who worked hard all game long and was rewarded with a try. He will be happy with his overall efforts in a successful shift. 7
7 Francois Cros: The only Toulouse player to hit double digits with tackles showcasing their dominance and the star’s commitment. The France flank did not have much work with ball in hand otherwise. 6
6 Jack Willis: The Englishman produced an outstanding try-saving intervention as he expertly held up a certain Racing 92 try. Carried hard all game long and made good metres whilst making a very neat seven tackles. 7

5 Emmanuel Meafou: A massive physical presence as expected. The second-row offered a lot of help in the set-piece on both attack and defence whilst also managing a few bruising carries. 6
4 Richard Arnold: Much like his locking partner, the Wallaby was physical in the contact point when used but otherwise managed the set-piece brilliantly on the day. 6
3 Dorian Aldegheri: Part of a sturdy front-row that operated efficiently for the most part. He emptied his tank during his 53 minutes on the park. 6
2 Peato Mauvaka: The hooker is never far from the try-line and managed to score yet again. Outside of that, he was busy with ball in hand making some great metres. On defence, he managed six tackles but won’t be happy missing five. 6
1 Cyril Baille: A beast in the scrum as per usual while making seven tackles without slipping one. Carried relentlessly at the opposition’s defensive line in another rock-solid shift. 7
Replacements: The bench was very cleverly used with the tight five changes to maintain control of the tight and also the collision. However, the pick of the substitutes was Paul Costes who managed a try after coming on early in the centres. 7
