Tom Hiddleston On Saying Goodbye To ‘Loki’, Saying Hello Again To ‘The Night Manager’ And Tales Of Working With Woody, Guillermo & Spielberg – The Actor’s Side

Tom Hiddleston video interview Loki

Tom Hiddleston had found new levels of stardom and a whole new legion of fans that he might never have anticipated when he started playing an iconic member of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Loki, the trickster who made his first appearance 14 years ago on the big screen in Thor and now, apparently (maybe?) has taken his final bow in the eponymous smash-hit Disney+ series.

This celebrated British actor has had great success on screen, television and stage, but nothing with the longevity in playing a single character like this in so many iterations. He joins me for this week’s edition of my Deadline video series The Actor’s Side to talk about that and so much more.

Hiddleston has been in several movies before and during the period he played Loki, including working memorably for Steven Spielberg as the lead in War Horse, playing F. Scott Fitzgerald for Woody Allen in the Oscar-winning Midnight in Paris (alongside his Loki co-star Owen Wilson), starring in Guillermo del Toro’s gothic horror film Crimson Peak and many more. He has much to say about working with all three of those remarkable multiple Academy Award winners.

We also talk about his Golden Globe-winning and Emmy-nominated success starring in the global hit limited series The Night Manager in 2016. Last week Hiddlestson confirmed that he is coming back for two more seasons of the BBC/Prime Video show that should get underway later this year. He also talks about his love for the stage and the many roles he has played, Shakespearean and otherwise.
