Clermont, FL - Linwood G. Hayden (Punch) died at the age of 95, on June 25, 2022, in Clermont, Florida. Linwood was born on September 14, 1926, in West Enfield, Maine. He was a WWII veteran and served as a 3rd Class Petty officer in the U.S. Navy in the south pacific. Linwood was a U.S. Postal worker for 30 years in the Bangor area and retired in 1986.
He was a quiet man who enjoyed his friends and family, loved camping and going to the horse and dog races. Linwood retired to Zephyrhills, Florida and approximately 5 years ago moved to Assisted Living in Clermont, Florida.
Linwood is preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Gary and Tom Hayden. He is survived by his wife, Inez of 52+ years; his children, Ann Rau, Timothy and Matthew; and stepchildren, Judith Ohmes and Wayne Dobson. He has 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
He will be interned at Hoyt Brook Cemetery in Argyle, Maine but no date has been set at this time. Donations can be made in his memory to St. Jude's Children Hospital for cancer.

Plant a tree: How does it work

When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.

An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.

After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.

Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.
