Tom Hanks’s new movie, News of the World, is coming out Christmas Day, but for those of us who are avoiding movie theaters, News of the World may not be so easy to watch. However, those living outside of the U.S. have a few more options to watch News of the World on streaming. WHAT IS NEWS OF THE WORLD ABOUT?

Based on the 2016 novel by Paulette Jiles, News of the World stars Hanks as an American Civil War veteran named Captain Jefferson Kyle Kidd who is tasked with “rescuing” a young white girl named Johanna (Helena Zengel), who was captured as an infant by the Kiowa people. The only problem? Johanna wants to stay with her captors.

WHAT IS THE NEWS OF THE WORLD RELEASE DATE?

The News of the World theatrical release date is December 25, 2020, aka Christmas Day. It will release in theaters in the U.S. The film will also release internationally on Netflix, except for in the U.S. and China, most likely in early 2021.

WILL THE NEWS OF THE WORLD BE ON STREAMING?
