Tom Brady Addresses Unretirement Rumors Amid Raiders Ownership Deal

Tom Brady isn’t a fan of repeating himself, but he did just that when asked about the continued rumors of him coming out of retirement during the offseason. The former Patriots and Buccaneers quarterback says he doesn’t plan on playing in the NFL ever again amid several post-playing ventures he’s become involved with since calling it a career.

“I’m certain I’m not playing again,” Brady told Sports Illustrated’s Robin Lundberg Thursday. “So, I’ve tried to make that clear and I hate to continue to profess that because I’ve already told people that lots of times, but I’m looking forward to my broadcasting job at Fox next year, I’m looking forward to the opportunity ahead with the Raiders and we’re in the process of that along with the other different things that I’m a part of professionally and in my personal life—just spending as much time with my kids as I can.”

Brady announced his retirement in February and is set to become a broadcaster for Fox. Additionally, it was reported by SI’s Albert Breer that Brady agreed to buy a minority stake in the Raiders in May and is just waiting for league approval.

Between his family, Fox and now the Las Vegas NFL franchise, Brady clearly looks to have put his playing days behind him.
