I always order the pulpo here. Its my favorite on the menu. Wish there was more items on the menu. I'm on a restricted carb diet so thats probably why. I had salmon this time, it was a touch dry inside but the crispy exterior was devine. Wine is always excellent here. I was celebrating my 2nd yr anniversary. Nice ambience. Started to get a bit loud as it started to fill up. This place needs some sound dampening. Service is excellent.

The only negative thing that I can say is that my chair was broken. And I had to change for other one by myself. The food was good. My money was worth it.

My dish was not as good as the last time I was there. Chicken was not as good. Probably they changed the chef. Even the desserts were not as before. The AC was on too cold, so we had to hurry and eat our desserts and leave.

OH wow! What a hidden gem! The staff is warm, helpful & they welcome you the minute you set foot inside. Impeccably clean, great music, & romantic vibe. The service was amazing & food was served reasonably fast. House made pasta with my dish was so flavorful. I practically licked my plate clean. The server checks up on you. Asks if you have any questions & was super attentive. Not to mention offered a extra glass of wine on the house. The coconut flan dessert was so delicious & yummy!

Excellent lunch with great food and service. They even made us delicious Frito Misto with calamari, shrimp and mushrooms even though it’s a dinner item. Very accommodating.

Made reservation and co formed it but arrived to massive line and nobody knew how to handle crowd. Waited an hour and finally left as did many other people. Just awful service. Will never come here again

NEVER reserve a table on VALENTINE’S DAY here. Knowing the restaurant would be busy on this day. I made my reservation a month in advance. I get there and the line is down the block. I made my way to the front to let the manager know. I was told there were over 30 “ 7:30pm “ reservations for that evening. The lady sitting people was RUDE AF and ended up crying. Why would you take that many reservations for the same time slot, with barely 30 something tables. Many people were upset and walked away as I did. Went across the street and enjoyed a great Italian dinner, with no issues. What’s worst is this is one of my favorite places.

Well, we can appreciate it was a busy night being Valentine’s Day, and the hostess kept her cool the entire time with the onslaught of a massive line of people waiting to get in. Unfortunately, our food was subpar. It was not hot and the chicken my husband ordered was really bad. Sorry we normally like this place and again it was a busy night, but I did expect good food

First time there. Food was a little pricey but well worth it. Ambience was good but because the place was packed, it was a little loud. Service was good but rushed due to Valentines Day. Also, because of the holiday, the kitchen was a little slow. Our waiter did give us a heads up and we appreciate the communication. We would definitely go back but might choose to visit on a regular weekend.

An excellent night out for 2 parents of a toddler who don't normally get out. I believe they overbooked a bit for Valentine's day as there were so many tables it was hard to move around, but I would assume the noise level would be lower and it would be more comfortable to move around on a "normal" night. My husband's steak was delicious and my homemade tortellini was excellent. We'll definitely go back the next time we can find a sitter. :)

This was my 4th time at Malbec. I like the location (close to where I visit when I come to California) and the food options are great. But this last time I went was on a Feb 14th, but man, the place was super crowded. I think the restaurant staff should prepare better for this kind of dates.

We were there on Valentine’s Day and they horribly overbooked the reservations. They really did a poor job of management of the evening, especially being lied to by the hostess. We were seated 45min after our reservation then waited an hour for our food which was just ok for the price. I would have given a lower review but I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt that the overbooking was maybe just an outlier for Valentine’s Day.

Love the food here, although I think this time it was a little too salty. Awesome anyway. Next time I will ask for leas salt and to bring it on the side. Good service. Sadly they seem to close the area in the back very often now.

The food and service was amazing. The only downside was that it felt like the table where we were sitting was placed there to accommodate more tables but we felt that we were on an island with everyone constantly moving around us. It was tight and the light was right in our face. I’d still go back again because the food was great, we will just ask ands wait for a better table.

Not sure if it was the date, but service was terrible, not sure if it was the date. But it seems like there was only 1 waitress. They charge a xtra 20% service fee, and it was not relative to the service we got. Food was ok.

Christmas dinner here and we were very happy with this place. Great ambiance, really good service and good food. Loved the wine list and the empanadas. The salmon and the grass fed beef were both so good. The chicken was ok, could’ve had more flavor. I would definitely come back here.

food was mostly good except for the veal sweet bread which came mostly chewy fat pieces instead of meat. The side of fries came out too late. two extra salads we ordered were never served by the time we were done with our main courses so we had to cancel them. The AC kept turning on despite of our request to keep it off as it was already cold and the vent blades were situated right above our heads.
