Biography
The band recorded two albums, Nazz in 1968 and Nazz Nazz in 1969, before Van Osten and Rundgren quit, the latter having a successful solo career.
Stewkey and Mooney hired additional musicians and continued touring until 1970 before breaking up Nazz. Both would later join Fuse, and the resulting band would tour both as Nazz and Fuse, depending on where they were playing. Mooney quit in 1971 to be replaced by Bun E. Carlos and the band would change its name to Sick Man of Europe, performing until 1973.
Nazz III was released in 1971, a collection of Rundgren's demos and unreleased tracks from the sessions for Nazz Nazz with Stewkey's vocals overdubbed in place.
