This was hands down the funniest show I've seen in ages. I've spoiled myself with great television and I can't stomach the canned plots of predictable sitcoms anymore. I bought this DVD as a gift for Christmas since me and my husband saw the first season together and we were curious to know what had happened to Todd Margaret in the mean time. Does not disappoint! This season was funnier than the last and the plot quickens, as well as thickens -- with Todd's lies increasingly more disasterous than the last. John Hamm's appearance was an unexpected bit of hilarity and a credit to him as an actor.
Todd Margaret is the best series since Strangers With Candy (not similar but look into it!)! I have watched season 1 & 2 several times and laugh even more knowing what's coming 😃
I really enjoyed season two of The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret, and while it doesn't quite live up to the heady heights of S1, it's still a hilarious six-episode run.
If you're reading this review, you're probably sold on the show itself, and are more interested in hearing about the quality of this MOD (manufactured-on-demand) release. Overall, as these things go, it's among the better MOD releases I've bought from Amazon recently.
I had no issues with playback and no episodes are missing (you may laugh at that information, but the Last Man Standing S1 somehow missed off the first episode of the show, originally). The quality of the artwork is very good, much better than the recent Fox TV-MODs.
Subtitles in English are included for the episodes; they are closed-caption conversions, in yellow all-caps, but they are better than nothing.
There are also a considerable selection of extras, including several featurettes totalling around thirty minutes, and commentaries - a pleasant change of pace for the world of MOD DVDs, where bare-bones is the norm. AV quality is solid; video is probably a little more compressed and soft than on S1, but it's still watchable on a big screen.
If you're wary of trying out the world of manufactured-on-demand DVDs, this is a decent place to start; there's very little different here vs. if IFC had released this as a regular, pressed DVD.
