Tomorrow sees our two women's semi-finals and we're set for some thrilling matches.

Just three months after returning to the tour, having had a baby in October, top seed slayer Elina Svitolina is in action against unseeded Czech Marketa Vondrousova.

And in our other semi-final, last year's finalist Ons Jabeur takes on Australia Open champion Aryna Sabalenka.

Great Britain's Alfie Hewett is through to the semi-finals of the men's wheelchair singles at Wimbledon after defeating Joachim Gerard in straight sets.

The British number one and second seed, bidding for a first Wimbledon singles title, beat the Belgian 6-3 6-4.

Gordon Reid, the British number two, won 6-4 6-4 against Argentina's Gustavo Fernandez in his quarter-final.

However, fellow Britons Lucy Shuker, Andy Lapthorne and Gregory Slade all missed out on semi-final places.

Britain's Neal Skupski and Dutch partner Wesley Koolhof reached the Wimbledon men's doubles semi-finals but fellow Briton Jamie Murray and New Zealander Michael Venus went out.

Top seeds Skupski and Koolhof fought back to win 4-6 6-2 6-3 against Ariel Behar and Adam Pavlasek.

Murray and Venus lost 6-4 6-3 to 10th seeds Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz.

Maia Lumsden and Naiktha Bains' run to the women's last eight ended in defeat by Elise Mertens and Storm Hunter while Jonny O'Mara and Emily Nicholls lost to Croat Mate Pavic and Ukrainian Lyudmyla Kichenok in the mixed doubles.

Spanish top seed Carlos Alcaraz moved into the Wimbledon semi-finals for the first time on Wednesday and will face Russian third seed Daniil Medvedev in the last four.

Alcaraz beat Danish sixth seed Holger Rune, another 20-year-old, 7-6 (7-3) 6-4 6-4 in his quarter-final.

Unseeded Christopher Eubanks' dream run was ended by Russian third seed Medvedev in a thrilling five-set contest.

Medvedev, who had never been past the last 16 before, beat the American 6-4 1-6 4-6 7-6 (7-4) 6-1.

Ons Jabeur avenged her defeat by Elena Rybakina in last year's women's final to set up a last-four meeting with Aryna Sabalenka, who beat Madison Keys in straight sets.

Sixth seed Jabeur came from a set down to win 6-7 (5-7) 6-4 6-1 in a reverse of the match 12 months ago.

Belarusian second seed Sabalenka beat American Keys 6-2 6-4 - keeping alive her quest to win a first Wimbledon title and replace Iga Swiatek as world number one.

The singles semi-finals line-ups were completed on an entertaining Wednesday afternoon of action that treated us to a pair of deciding-set thrillers.

There was also British joy and despair in equal measure in the doubles and wheelchair events.

Here’s what Carlos Alcaraz had to say to BBC TV after his win over Holger Rune: "Honestly, it is amazing for me. It’s been a dream since I started playing tennis.

"Making good results at Wimbledon, such a beautiful tournament, for me it’s a dream to be able to play a semi-final here.

"I am playing at a great level, I didn’t expect to play a great level on this surface. For me, it is crazy."

On Rune: “It was tough. At the beginning I was really nervous playing quarter-final at Wimbledon, but even more against Rune.

"Someone the same age as me playing a great level. It was tough to play against him but once you get into the quarter-finals there’s no friends.

"You have to be focused on yourself and I think I did great in that part.”
