It's the height of summer and Christmas movie season still feels like a long way off, but NBC's streaming platform Peacock just announced a doozy of a festive release. The Real Housewives of the North Pole is its title, and it sounds truly wild.

The movie will star Betsy Brandt, who's best known for her role as Marie Schrader in Breaking Bad, alongside Kyle Richards, who's best known for her major role in The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Brandt and Richards's characters, Diana and Trish, are the reigning "Christmas Queens" of their Vermont town, which is called—yep, you guessed it—North Pole. Per Peacock's synopsis, "they've won the Best Holiday House decorating competition every year for the past nine years. But days before Christmas, a friendship-ending argument sparks a town-wide feud and draws the attention of a national magazine writer hoping to make a name for herself with her scintillating expose titled, 'Real Housewives of the North Pole'."

Production on the movie begins in Utah this month, with Ron Oliver directing and Tippi Dobrofsky, Neal Dobrofsky and Spyder Dobrofsky writing and executive producing. The Dobrofskys have written a huge number of Hallmark movies, so this script is bound to be cut from the same cloth. What's not clear is exactly how the movie relates to the rest of the Real Housewives franchise, since it's scripted rather than reality television.

We'll just have to tune in to find out, when The Real Housewives of the North Pole premieres on Peacock later this year.
