This was an unexpected treat to our travels. It's a beautiful 3 mile stretch that is well kept and has observation points that overlook the river. We were fortunate to have high water levels and it was BEAUTIFUL.

This is not a swimming beach
Most people are here to fish, and for the most part catch and release.
There are some shady spots to sit and enjoy a picnic
Paddle boats can be rented on one of the four ponds
This is located between the zoo and the bio park but the zoo train no longer stops here. However there is adequate parking

This was a very pretty little park with lakes and jogging paths, but it is not a beach, like what you would see on either coast. It's more like a series of large ponds with waterfowl and landscaping. Pretty, though!

They done a remarkable job of making this a cool fishing hole with the train going by - but there is no way it's a beach! It's always been called that but it is really misleading.

Really good pond/lake to fish in, the people are always friendly. Really nice place to just sit back, relax and enjoy family time. I`ve been there two times, the first time was little success, but the second time was really successful. I caught about 5 catfish and my brother caught a 21 inch big cat. We reached the bag limit really fast on that trip. So I think tingley beach will be worth your while.

We've lived in Albuquerque for five years and found the Tingley Beach oasis on our first bike ride along the bosque trail. It's a magical place for all ages - kind of like Central Park is to New Yorkers. There are four man-made ponds, three of which are stocked with trout periodically. One is for kids only, one is catch and release (primarily fly fishing), one for everyone else, and one for model boating. There are picnic benches, and benches made from fallen Cottonwoods. A small playground and paddle boats are also available. The train that runs from the bio-park to the zoo and back, lends atmosphere. Of course, the bike path that is heavily used by everyone in every form of manual transportaion runs right past it. You'll witness the diversity of Albuquerque while feeding the water fowl. There are also paths that lead into the bosque and along the river. It's a great place to kick back and relax.

Found this spot by accident, just across the Rio Grande bridge in Albuquerque. Fishing ponds, duck ponds and nice little park. Pleny parking and you can leave your car and take a short train ride that goes into edge of Rio Grande Zoo and Botanic Park. What we saw from the train of the latter, made us go there another day and that was a beautiful place.
