Maria Christina R The acting was great, especially Benedict. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/07/23 Full Review Adhyaksa M cry a lot, the acting, story and song is amazing Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Many critics say it's predictable. So what, most films are predictable, there are only so many plots to develop :-). But it's tender, bitter-sweet, while not being sentimental. The acting is great, too; the four main characters are not particularly likeable, the main lead James is actually lowkey jerk sometimes, relationships between the friends are far from idyllic in spite of (and maybe exactly because of) looming death, still, they able to make us relate and commiserate, and understand everybody's point. It gets even better upon the rewatch, when - knowing the ending - we can focus on the small details od acting, editing, cinematography etc. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review ed t Well acted buddy film, people story. Dramatic moments when they start getting honest with each other. Unpredictable for the most part. Worth seeing. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/24/20 Full Review Audience Member "Oh no, I see a darkness Did you know how much I love you? Is a hope that somehow you Can save me from this darkness." - Johnny Cash Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Such a moving movie. A lot of thought was put into it, and you come out of it with even more thoughts. Brilliant casting and beautiful scenery. Interesting filmography and a soothing soundtrack that fits the movie's tone. Thoroughly recommend. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Tom Long Detroit News As road trips go, this one travels far and travels well. Rated: B+ Jun 24, 2011 Full Review Kate Stables Sight & Sound Underneath Third Star's classy cladding, which camouflages its maudlin streak and conventional melodramatic underpinnings, there lies a TV movie first and last. May 24, 2011 Full Review Philip French Guardian Rather familiar and predictable, though not dislikable. May 23, 2011 Full Review Julia Smith Film Inquiry Third Star is a brilliant, heart-warming film. It is written, directed and filmed beautifully. Aug 3, 2017 Full Review Alistair Harkness Scotsman Dalton, a Bafta-winning short filmmaker, ensures everything looks pleasant and polished enough, but there's very little here that stands out. Rated: 2/5 May 23, 2011 Full Review Allan Hunter Daily Express (UK) All of this feels a little too pat and obvious until we edge towards a lump-in-the-throat finale with an emotional wallop absent from the predictability of the previous scenes.
