This book does not dissapoint if you reasonate with any of my Trump fandom. It gives you insight into his character and what motivates him. From reading this book you will learn what it means to be successful and how to adopt the mindset necessary for victory. I realize that all those slanderous mishaps that he made during the election were actually well explained within this book. To Donald Trump, it was important that he put those who would screw him over back in line. He compares these people to bullies from school who would only stop bullying if you hit them back just as hard or even harder. Nowadays, people cave into pressure way too easily. It's likely due to the convenience of our modern luxuries that have made people soft and weak hearted. I have seen this in both my school and work. People will fold under duress. We simply don't have the willpower and energy to stand up for ourselves anymore.
Reading this book has given me a lesson in some of this old-school toughness that Donald Trump embodies. I saw how much verbal abuse he took during the election. He was very strong in the way he handled it. He didn't just give up and pretend that people weren't mocking him. He fought back as he has done all his life. Maybe some people don't understand why it's important to do this but I do. I have personally seen people easily take advantage of others because of how unwilling anyone was to stand up to them. Sometimes all it really takes is to sock them in the mouth with a verbal punch. Yes, it can be crude and ugly as some of Donald Trump's vocabulary has been but it has worked well for him in his life.
Instead of fighting for ourselves we now have a tendancy to run crying to the nearest authority figure and ask them to stop the bullying. Yes, it'll keep the person who was messing with you off your back but he will still have no respect for you. If other people find out you had to cry to someone for protection then they will lose respect for you. What has happened to our dignity people? It seems like we don't have much self-respect anymore. Trump says something along the lines of "life is a struggle for survival". He admits that it's not the most pleasant thing to be hearing but it's true. You have to be willing to fight in this world. You have to fight to protect others but most importantly you have to fight in order to stand up for yourself because nobody else will.
To me, this is what this book was really about. I learned what it meant to have a winner's mentality. What it means to respect yourself and your own wellbeing. There is an overabundance of trying to respectful and courteous towards others. Growing up I have noticed this. People are unable to settle their differences and instead hide behind a veil of politeness and mask our true feelings from one another.
I think this book probably desrves 4 stars because the secondary author includes his own opinions following Trump's with an equal amount of pages. Some of it added to the point but honestly I could care less about it becaue I wanted to read about Trump and this other person was not all that compelling to me in comparison. I read some of his parts but skipped most of them. Most of it was just repeating what Trump had said anyways.
It's impossible to tell for sure how genuine Trump was with his writing in this book but my gut instinct tells me that he was sincerely writing to help out people and make the world a better place as cliche as that sounds.
If you are someone who's been looking up to Trump which I'm pretty sure many in the country are following his historical presidential run and with many to be added in the days to follow with his equally historical presidency then read this book. The man is my idol in many ways and I would swallow up any piece of writing that would let me get to know him better. This book gave me a pretty good impression of Trump. Unfortunately, with the bias media and the establishment out to get Trump it's hard to find decent sources of character on him but I felt like this got the job done.
Trump also includes his approach to women and what he thinks of their beauty. This was also a golden nugget that I appreciated given his alpha-male status and his success with the ladies.
If you were wondering what his Learning Annex speech was like where he was paid millions (I forget the exact number) then there's an excerpt of the Q and A at the end of the back. A quick search on youtube only showed bits of his Learning Annex speech so this was appreciated as well.
Overall, I would give this a 5 even though I mentioned before it should probably get a 4 because of my respect and love for the man, Donald J. Trump. But please don't let that fact take any credability from this review. After all, he won a presidential election against all odds and he in all likelihood will have one of, if not the, best presidency of all time.
I'd wish to have read this book at high school, before choosing a career. I am not sure if I had the maturity to take advantage of Trump's advice, but surely I would have noticed earlier the patterns and attitude that makes some to grow. Since reading this book I am dressing better, I am eating better, I communicate with my customers better and they appreciate my services with more respect, I am working more and better too, because I am seeing my work less like work and more like a dream or a passion. Next to Trump's words there is the commentary by Bill Zanker. Before this book I did not know about him but he gets to comment from experience and in an admirable scale. You need to buy this book, and you need to put it into practice.
I was pleasantly surprised to recognize a lot of truths in this book. I highlighted many passages. I was shocked that Mr. Trump came right out and basically said get revenge because you'll get respect from it in the long run. Don't be run over. I mean, there is a chapter about not letting people bully you or talk s***. This was straight up not how this Catholic girl was raised. But, it is excellent- living in this world; living in this age advise. The man is not passive. He's not afraid of being politically correct or being condemned or judged. He's about bring out the big guns when you need to. He's super smart and cunning and has the balls to speak openly about his successes and failures. He was a self help junkie- positive thinker. I get the impression that he's very aware of the big spiritual picture and is in no way a user, but a ultimately a giver. The man is a fighter and that's exactly who we need to lead our crumbling, weak, passive majority back to strength and our country -as he states- to greatness. He has my vote.
This book was not a waste of $10. I may not be a bigger thinker, but I'm more resolved to speak up and take action when others take advantage of me. To not roll over. To take a stand and call the meeting to order. To never give up. And as one of the personalities in the book discloses, "the harder I work, the luckier I get."

Gerne in Englisch. Aber vielleicht kommt das ja noch ...
Fazit:
DANKE.
Trump explains in this book how he built himself up as a young man, almost lost it all and then built it all up again. What better person to learn from than someone who has made it twice and through the toughest climates? I admire the way he never shy's away from owning up to his mistakes as this shows the strength of the lessons he has learnt.
This book includes words from another self made business entrepreneur Bill Zanker at the end of each chapter. I find his story to be amazing and I have a massive respect for his think big attitude. However, the contrast in style between the way that Donald Trump's stories were written meant that sometimes, whilst I was reading the parts from Zanker, I was still thinking about what Trump has said prior to it. It is worth rereading Zanker's parts alone if this happens to you too as his story is hugley inspirational.
As the title says, it is all about coming up with the big ideas and dreams. And then, doing all you can to realise them. Life really is brief. So, why think along small steps? This is the thinking behind Donald Trump.
If you were into the works of people like Anthony Robbins and Paul McKenna, you would love this book. Re-reading some of its chapters on a weekly basis really do have an energising effect on one's mind. With other books within this genre, one has to question whether its author or authors had really achieved real success. I'm interested in getting advice about success from men and women who had really achieved extraordinary things. And in this case, Donald Trump is part of the aristocracy of great entrepreneurs. If you want to learn about how to make the best of your life and talents, this is one of those books you must read.
