Toulouse express desire to retain free-scoring Thijs Dallinga

Thijs Dallinga (23) is hot property. Another strong season with Toulouse FC has seen him come onto the radars of clubs across Europe, however, Le TéFéCé won’t let him go without a fight.

Last season, Dallinga scored 18 goals in 42 appearances in all competitions. This season, he looks set to beat that record. Not only has Dallinga scored 16 appearances in 37 appearances this season he has also made his debut for the Netherlands national team.

He was the subject of a failed bid from Brentford in January, with Toulouse deeming the Premier League side’s €18m bid insufficient. However, there will be renewed interest in the summer. Unlike this season, Le TéFéCé won’t have European football to be able to tempt their marksman to stay, but the French side have not lost hope in retaining the player.

We are very happy with him. We are getting the ball into the box easier in the second half of the season and that is giving Dallinga more chances to score. He is very positive, he is working hard and he is scoring more and more goals. We are hoping that that continues and then hope to keep him,” Toulouse manager Carles Martínez Novell told Prime Video SportIt remains to be seen whether the Ligue 1 side will be able to resist potential advances in the coming months.
