Motta expects more against Torino: ‘I didn’t like our behaviour’ - Football Italia

Spezia coach Thiago Motta was not happy with the defeat to Fiorentina and expects a different game from his players against Torino on Saturday. ‘I didn’t like our behaviour. The players are aware’.

The Aquilotti coach has struggled to get going in Liguria, as the team sit 18th after 11 games in 2021-22.

Motta’s men haven’t won in three games and arrive after a 3-0 defeat to the Viola, but the coach expects a completely different performance against Torino.

“Not to mention football, I didn’t like our behaviour,” Motta said at a press conference. “I told the players, not immediately after the game because I was thinking and trying to understand watching it back.

“We didn’t enter the pitch. I’m convinced that we can do much better. The players are aware that we didn’t play in the right way, and I expect another match tomorrow from all points of view.

“Football is a very interesting sport because in many games the strongest don’t always win. But you have to put all the ingredients into it ,and we didn’t. For tomorrow, I’m sure we’ll see another kind of match, both for the opponent and our attitude.”
