Theodore Roosevelt High School Reviews
Rating 3.79 out of 5 197 reviews
When asked about what I think about my school, I feel conflicted because, although I had an overall good experience in this school, I feel like there are things this school could be heavily improved on. For example, my school gives almost the same kind of food every week with no change; at one point during my junior year, they gave pizza for the whole year. I haven't been able to stand the look of school pizza the same ever since. Another thing this school could improve on is cleanliness, especially in the bathrooms. The majority of the time, the bathrooms are locked due to students' "behavior." This means we, the students, have to go from floor to floor to figure out which bathroom is open during that period, and when we do, the bathrooms are usually dirty, sometimes even flooded, and the sinks aren't properly working. The bathrooms also have containers to provide us with menstrual products, but those containers are always empty and have been ever since they were first provided.
My journey at Theodore Roosevelt High School started in October 2022 when I transferred as a sophomore from another school. The first day was a mix of nervousness and excitement, but fortunately, I had some friends who also attended the school, which helped ease the transition. One of the most notable aspects of my experience at Roosevelt has been the quality of the teachers. Starting from my sophomore year, I found them to be not just educators but mentors who were dedicated to providing a supportive and engaging learning environment. As a senior now, having most of these teachers, I can attest to their consistent excellence. Overall, my time at Theodore Roosevelt High School has been marked by a supportive community, engaging educational experiences, and the guidance of exceptional teachers. As I approach graduation, I reflect on the positive impact this school has had on my academic and personal growth.
The school has several good programs and resources the problem is you need to find a way to find them or be acquainted with the people who provide them. The academics and diversity could be better but I feel as though the school is slowly getting there. There are many bad and good things about the school but to get the best of your experience at Roosevelt I find that being involved in sports and clubs helps a lot by taking higher-level courses and having the right teachers.
