Charlie W Amazing movie, the plot twist is one of the best i have ever seen. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/14/24 Full Review Max W this is a movie you've just gotta watch twice. I thought the twist would happen and I was so happy when it did. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/28/24 Full Review Peter G it's a rare occasion when in the same year 2 thriller masterpieces are released. 1995 was such a year & one actor actually appeared in both of them. In SE7EN it was not even revealed in the cast list, until the end, as to who the actor was. Anyway THE USUAL SUSPECTS remains endlessly fascinating to watch no matter how many times I have seen it. The overall conception did not please everyone but for me the beauty of the film is in savoring it's details with repeated viewings. The atmosphere, dialogue, performances, direction, & even the background music are unforgettable & the back & forth interaction between Verbal (?) & agent Kujan is constantly absorbing. Misdirection is the constant motivation here regarding the mystery surrounding the investigation of the heist & for me, anyway, it adds to the uniqueness of the entire production. IMO, along with SE7EN, one of the great films of its decade. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/06/24 Full Review ANY1aBLUE Rodriguez and other so called experts here actually gave this a green tomato?! Utterly bizarre and makes you wonder how they come by their status. This is simply one of the best films ever made. It's sensational and flawless in every way. Proof is that it gets better with every time it's viewed. Ignore the silly and trite nonsense peddled by the ‘top reviewers' - they are wrong. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/12/23 Full Review Alec C An intricate crime thriller that really pushes the barriers between fact and fiction. Thanks to its unreliable characters and fascinating storyline, we never know the true story until the very end. And the end wraps it up with a shocker that still leaves us breathless! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/19/23 Full Review Pasquale M Its masterpiece, Kevin Spacey just steals the spotlight and gives one of the best acting performances, when I found out Spacey was "Kyzer Soze" I said "no f**king way", never expected that plot twist! Manohla Dargis Spin Singer has an obvious grasp of craft, but it's far less clear whether he has anything to say about movies, violence, the world, or his place in the world. Dec 27, 2022 Full Review Rene Rodriguez Miami Herald The Usual Suspects flirts with greatness but attempts too much. It's a fascinating failure.
