The original Tower of Terror is here in Hollywood Studios!
I didn't go on this ride but my husband and son did. The Disney California Adventure Tower of Terror has been changed to Guardians of the Galaxy theme, so they were excited to try the OG ride. They said the mechanics are very different from the one they are used to in DCA. Perhaps this one is larger?

This is one of the best rides out there. It really is a one of a kind ride
Having been to Florida twice this year I finally (on both trips got to finally ride this amazing attraction). Not one person I have seen exiting this ride isn’t laughing or smiling from ear to ear, this ride is different with each go as it has randomised sequences and this alone makes it like nothing else. We had two amazing cast members this time in two rides. TJ - he is a legend, he really adds to the atmosphere in the pre-show and it was by far the best buildup and pre-show we’ve had on this ride so a massive thanks to TJ. Then on the same ride we moved on and we’re met by Melo who was there to board us to our elevator. Melo was a great laugh, got involved with us all and kept the buildup and atmosphere fun and energetic. A massive thanks to both TJ and Melo for such a great experience, I’d highly recommend this ride to anyone and I’m not a fan of drops but this is just fun…

    Thrilling
Our family of two adults, an 8 year old and a 6 year old visited Disney World for two weeks holiday in October. We went on this ride twice and it's absolutely thrilling. Great pre show and wait for the elevators to arrive. Loved it. Enjoy!

The best ride in Hollywood Studios
This is hands down the best ride in Hollywood Studios. Most people would probably put Rise of the Resistance in that #1 spot which is completely valid, but the downfall to that ride is it breaks down very often and very easily. Tower of Terror is not only reliable, but is such an amazing dark ride AND thrill ride. It starts off spooky then gets thrilling. Sometimes it’s a long wait but it’s one of those rides that is worth it in my opinion. You can’t leave this park without trying this ride!

Remains One of the Best Rides at Disney. Not to Be Missed
Even with all the new rides at Disney World, The Tower of Terror remains one of the best rides in the parks. The screams from riders as you walk down Sunset Boulevard will scare many off, but they are missing out on an incredible experience. The theming in the ride is amazing and so detailed. It starts out as creepy and eerie but the drop sequence that occurs at the finale is so much fun. You free fall and are then brought back up and dropped another 1 or 2 times. Every drop sequence is different each time you ride which adds to the enjoyment. This should be arguably the first ride you head to at rope drop. Otherwise get a Lightening Lane for the early morning as lines build quickly.

Poor customer service and untrained unable to use their own initiative to resolve a problem their staff had created

Lightning lane; We paid for this 9:51 am and were advised that the ride was booked for 15:45.
The agent took my phone and confirmed that the time and when we were due to be back.

When we finally got to the tower of terror we were told a reservation had not been made and we had been misinformed by the so called cast member.

We were in Disney Hollywood all day so our grandson could ride that one ride.

Due to incompetence by your cast member and then the atrocious attitude of the supervisor Courtney we ended up with a unthinking machine called Jason who was totally unable to deviate from his program to think out side of the box and get us on to the ride which we had paid $57 extra for.

Then like a machine he said I’d refund your money but it would take 5 working days to get it returned; are Disney in the 21st century yet?

I was totally embarrassed by the episode with your poorly trained operatives.

My grandson holiday has been ruined by rude untrained staff.

This is one of my favorite rides at this park, and we almost had to give it up this time. The park was crazy busy, especially for a pandemic, and the 70 minute estimated wait time turned out to by an hour and a half. It was frustrating to see the ones who had paid extra for the VIP pass get right on the ride without waiting while those without had to wait even longer. At least they were alternating those lines, otherwise we may have given up in disgust. Considering how much the basic pass costs, it just doesn't seem right. But the ride is always thrilling, and with the many variations it is impossible to predict every rise and fall.

We've loved this attraction since the beginning and just came back from experiencing it again for the first time since 2016. Everyone in our little extended family on on board with this one as we keep bringing the youngest members who have never been there before. This is the hotel experience of a lifetime!

I have to say that this was about the longest we ever waited in line for Tower of Terror but that really didn't diminish the thrill in the end. When we got to the actual boarding area, we found that only one set of elevators was in operation because the other set was undergoing maintenance.

This ride scares me to death so why do I do it you may ask?

Well, whenever I see the Hotel towering over the park something draws me to it.

It’s not scary at first, you enter the hotel and, as someone who can still remember the original Twilight Zone TV programmes, I enjoy the preamble, which takes place in the library.

Then it’s off to find the elevators. At this point it’s still possible to chicken out and leave.

You sit in rows in a large elevator cab which can move horizontally in and out of the elevator shafts.

There are ghostly apparitions, lightning and random drops. At one stage the doors open high up showing you the park.

I find it pretty scary, especially when the real drop takes place and you leave your stomach behind.

But despite being scared silly I just can’t resist it.

The service was great! There was even a man in the library making sure everyone was quiet. The decor was a little old fashioned and dusty for my taste but over all a beautiful building. Unfortunately I had to remove a star as the elevator had some errors. The staff didn’t seem to care about my frantic attempt to warn them about the elevator, but they probably thought I was joking. Also even though it is clearly called a hotel, nobody offered me a room. Overall a great hotel

I certainly could not ride this ride as I cannot ride anything which spins me around or drops me more than once. So only my wife and sons (10 and 11) went on it. My wife loved it. The ride will drop you multiple times but each ride is random so you don't know if you're going to be dropped a few times or a lot of times. My wife said it was a LOT. My 11 year old didn't like it at all and said he didn't want to ride it again. My 10 year old was a little more non-committal. As long as you know what you're getting into, this is a very popular ride.

Okay so I went to Disney World in 2018 for my first time and rode this ride. It was my first time so i was obviously very unsure about it, anyways we got on the ride and rode through the introduction then they opened the door and i started crying like a 2 year old when they fall and get really hurt, it was horrifying. I just went again recently and went on the ride, again (bad idea) i didn't even have my seat buckle on and i start crying worse than i did before and this was my second time. The worst part about it was that my butt didn't touch the seat the whole time we were on that ride. In conclusion this ride is not for everyone, i learned that the hard way. it was a very fun and thrilling experience but let me tell y'all something, it's definitely not made for people who are afraid of heights hate REALLY fast drops and actually want there butt to stay on the seat while they're on a ride
