David W A strange one this. It's not really a horror movie as such and it isn't particularly scary. There is a very interesting ethical point raised via the denouement though. The movie as a whole was good and Biel's performance was excellent. I personally enjoyed this movie, ideological challenges and all. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/28/24 Full Review Nicole L I wouldn't quite call it a horror movie. It's more of a suspenseful thriller. It kept me watching with the few plot twist and wanting to get answers up to the very end. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/07/24 Full Review James D Numerous twists that had me often guessing as to who is doing what to whom. Jessica Biel's performance was superb - I had no idea that she was such a great actress. This is a movie about how a married couple's idea of mercy and social justice becomes unhinged and escalates into sheer terror. Separating children from their mothers through either abortion or kidnapping is never an act of mercy for it leaves behind much sorrow for the victims of the injustice. I wonder if some of this goes on much in real life. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 07/04/23 Full Review K R Granted, it is not an easy movie to follow so I gave it a 4-star rating. But it touches on some moral questions and leaves them up in the air for later discussions. Overall, I can say I quite enjoyed it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/12/23 Full Review B A I don't know....It's the most "meh" movie of all time possibly. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/18/23 Full Review Simon L Worst movie of all time. After 1 hour you still have no idea whats going on… Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/17/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Anton Bitel Sight & Sound for all this thriller's tautness, its true horror emerges from the uncomfortable ethical questions that it poses - and leaves us to answer for ourselves in the dark. Nov 15, 2012 Full Review Mark Olsen Los Angeles Times Long on atmosphere and short on sense, "The Tall Man" becomes less gripping as it grows more ridiculous. Rated: 2/5 Aug 31, 2012 Full Review Kyle Smith New York Post "The Tall Man" spits out enough scares and twists to maintain our interest, but the film's psycho-sociological layer is almost as cheesy and unconvincing as its low-rent action scenes. Rated: 1.5/4 Aug 31, 2012 Full Review Patrick Cavanaugh The Wolfman Cometh Initially intriguing but quickly devolves into an entirely generic and uninspired experience. Rated: 1/5 Sep 24, 2023 Full Review Emma Wolfe SpookyAstronauts Trust me the payoff is completely worth it. Rated: 7/10 Jun 2, 2021 Full Review Ed Travis Hollywood Jesus The final reveals of the plot are so ludicrous and poorly told I am a little bit shocked. Biel does a fine job and the film looks like a real movie. It just has a nonsense script at its heart. Mar 31, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews
