Chris Harvey Daily Telegraph (UK) So who's right about The Shadow Line? I loved its camera angles and laughed at its most serious moments. I feel a bit guilty about that, but there you go. Apr 17, 2019 Full Review Stuart Jeffries Guardian We're going to spend the next few weeks getting to know Rafe Spall's gums. Apr 17, 2019 Full Review Ryan McGee AV Club Ejiofor, Eccleston, and Rea don't share a single second of screentime in these initial episodes, but it never feels as if The Shadow Line is keeping them apart for arbitrary reasons. Apr 17, 2019 Full Review Andrew Anthony Observer (UK) The Shadow Line should be applauded for trying something different. It's just a pity that so many of its characters appear the same. May 23, 2019 Full Review Alison Graham Radio Times I know it's divided audiences, and I know some have found it slow to the point of madness, but I can't hear a word against The Shadow Line. Not a word, I tell you. Apr 17, 2019 Full Review Adam Sweeting The Arts Desk It radiates confidence and purpose. Apr 17, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews

Offa O I really enjoyed this series. Ejiofor, Ecclestone, Sher and Rea were all excellent and supporting cast were so believable too. The story is gripping from the off and one or two of the early episodes are quite flawless as pure thrillers. My only gripe was I found the final episode rather misery inducing. Hugo Blick is a fabulous artist (Honourable Woman again superb) in the he constructs and knits narrative but I felt we deserved being thrown a happy bone in the final outcome for Ecclestone character. It just felt too dark a timbre for me and left one with a rather disappointing payoff. The journey there however was first class throughout. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/18/22 Full Review Mark P Excellent. Hugo Blick is a talented writer director and this series is classy from start to finish. A magnificent cast grapple with a convoluted plot embracing corruption, organized crime and morality. A must see Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/26/21 Full Review Audience Member For example this one, classic English detective kind of story, but great script writers work, you will hardly see the whole picture until the last episode, that is what make detective a perefect one, i suggest even for the ones who don't accept tv series as art at all, i hope it'll prove they wrong) Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
