alasdair Incredible well produced Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/02/21 Full Review Cake Its an okay movie, but I feel its more like a news report than a documentary. 90% of the content there was already known to me, so this movie didnt provide too much new insight into the event. I feel sorry for Jimmy Chen because sometimes when people get famous, they stop making deep movies but start making news reports. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/23/21 Full Review danielle I really enjoyed this riveting movie. The only thing I would have done differently was to begin the movie with a re-enactment of the boys going into the cave. I think starting the movie with the actual rescue was too jarring and even though I was familiar with the story, it would have been nice to start from the beginning -and maybe not everybody knew how it actually started. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/15/21 Full Review Andrea C Most riveting movie I have ever seen. Spectacularly done! Amazing story....very emotional. LOVED IT! Craig Mathieson The Age (Australia) Knowing the outcome doesn't lessen the grip of the storytelling -- individual moments are telling, lesser-known tragedies dot the desperate rush to act, and at each point, the jagged tunnels and torrid currents exert an almost tactile hold. Rated: 4/5 Jan 6, 2022 Full Review Simran Hans Observer (UK) [A] hugely involving documentary... Rated: 4/5 Oct 31, 2021 Full Review Kevin Maher Times (UK) The film-makers somehow manage to wring nerve-jangling tension from a foregone conclusion. Rated: 4/5 Oct 29, 2021 Full Review Amy Smith InSession Film This is a story that needed to be told, and I am glad I had the chance to discover who Charlotte Salomon was. However, she also deserved a better film than this. Rated: C- Mar 1, 2024 Full Review Dallas King Flick Feast The Rescue is a thrilling testament to the power of the human spirit. One that, just like the divers, will have audiences holding their breath till they reach the other side. Rated: 4/5 Nov 12, 2022 Full Review Chase Hutchinson The Inlander (Spokane, WA) Giving an inside look at the operation through starkly candid interviews with the divers who pulled it off and a sharp filmmaking eye that captures the scope of what was accomplished, it is one of the most harrowing documentaries you'll see this year.
