The Red Road suffers from uneven writing, but its talented cast and creepy story hint at undeveloped promise.

Audience Member I am extremely sad that this series didn't get more than 12 episodes to tell it's story. It wasn't finished and, I miss it! LOVE, LOVE LOVED IT!! It was well written, well acted and kept the surprises coming. This was one of Momoa's finest performances!! Modern, understated, emotional and so much going on under the surface. Kopus played by anyone else wouldn't have been so layered. The depth of the character... Momoa and Henderson did a great job of blurring the lines of good and bad. Outstanding cast both familiar faces and newcomers! Sundance should have had the balls to support the genius they had and finished telling the story! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member the Red Road was so good we watched all 12 episodes this weekend at the end of season 2 with a cliff hanger ending they cancelled season 3, that was a big mistake I believe the fans deserve a proper ending. But the show it self was great I give it 5 stars more if you had more to give. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member The first episode was just ok but the 2nd drew me in. I couldn't wait every night to watch it. Second season was even better. I wish they would bring it back. There is so much more story to tell!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member It was great. Please bring back. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member You can't top this. This is the most well-written, well thought-out, well produced, the best of everything is right here in this show. Entertaining every minute keeping you on the edge of your seat. It is so down to earth and so many well-thought-out rolls, even hilarious at times. The creators of this show should take over Hollywood, and teach them how it's done. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member I love this show. I wish Netflix would pick it up and finish it. I wanna know what's going to happen to all of the characters. Sarah Rodman Boston Globe Based on the first few episodes, it may be a path worth traveling down. Mar 4, 2014 Full Review Tim Goodman Hollywood Reporter If The Red Road had stronger writing, then the series would have been significantly more compelling. Mar 3, 2014 Full Review Robert Lloyd Los Angeles Times The show tells you covertly a lot about the characters, building them up through bits of behavior and stray remarks that can seem contradictory at first but do start to cohere into something more complex. Mar 3, 2014 Full Review Jessica Johnson Time Out Chicago While The Red Road is gorgeous to look at, and the ideas behind it can be intriguing, it gets mired in attempts to string out what little plot is there over a six episode first season. Jul 2, 2018 Full Review Scott D. Pierce Salt Lake Tribune Jason Momoa is going to surprise you in the engaging new SundanceTV drama The Red Road. Mar 3, 2014 Full Review Mark A. Perigard Boston Herald There's such a richness of story and character here, and the visual and sound people do some great work cranking up the creep factor.
