However, the robbery becomes a nightmare for these inexperienced thieves as they become easy targets. Unexpectedly, the couple reveals to be two manipulative predators with dark intentions. "The Owners" is a home invasion thriller that bets all the cards in the surprise element. An entertaining story showing us that sometimes hunters become the hunted! The goofy-fat-kid-turned-neurotic-basket case could have been more interesting (maybe in-on-it). Was he? A lot unanswered, perhaps to allow for sequels?
