Italy's oldest graduate gets master's degree at 98 years old
Italy's oldest university graduate, Giuseppe Paterno who got his master's degree in Philosophical Sciences at 98 years old a few weeks ago, spoke about the experience in Palermo, on Thursday.
Paterno showed his degree, as well as the typewriter that he used to write his research papers.
In 2020, Giuseppe became Italy's oldest graduate when he completed his Bachelor in Philosophy at the University of Palermo. Now, two years later he earned his master's from the same university.
Giuseppe, who worked as a railway worker since his 20s, had a lifelong dream to study but his family's financial situation did not allow him to chase his dream sooner.
