The The San Francisco Giants 2010 World Series Collector's Edition was a wonderful purchase for me. It has all he games of the entire 2010 World Series on DVD. The DVD audio feature allows you to watch the World Series television broadcast and listen to Giants Radio Network announcers instead. You can also instead listen to the Rangers Radio Network or the Spanish International Radio Broadcast.

The DVD's each come in individual plastic DVD cases, and all the slipcases fit into the color graphic heavy card stock slipcase.

The collection is MLB licensed. And, it is the official MLB World Series Collector's Edition DVD set for the MLB 2010 World Series.

There are 8 DVD discs. Each World Series game is on it's own DVD disc. NLCS game 4 is on one disc and NLCS game 6 is on another DVD disc. On the last DVD disc is the special bonus DVD.

It would have been nice to have this same 2010 World Series Collector's Edition on bluray like they released in the later World Series years. I assume since these DVD's play on bluray players, there is not much financial gain to create an identical collection on bluray for 2010 and all the previous World Series collections previously released on DVD. Maybe in the future, there will be a new World Series collection where all the older World Series will be on bluray or a future format.

I definitely recommend this DVD Collector's Edition set. You can't get the 2010 World Series games on anything but DVD and in this set. It is done very well, and it is a must have for any San Francisco Giants fan.

As a Giants fan from 1989 on, words can't express how happy I was to finally hear Kruk & Kuip call the WS games! I DVR'd the entire postseason but I had to listen to the network broadcasters, so the alternate audio feature led me to purchase this collection anyway. One of the things I've always loved about baseball on TV is being able to hear the hometown announcers call the games, and this was especially true during the postseason when it seemed that none of the broadcasters knew anything about the Giants except for what the fact sheets said. This East Coast bias and disregard of all teams west of the Rockies was particularly obvious during the NLCS, and it drove me nuts. Little was ever mentioned about the heart, hard work and luck it took for the Giants to actually BE in the postseason - it was all about their opponents, esp. the Phillies. By being so lazy and short-sighted, the networks really missed out on most of the human interest aspects of this underdog team. It's too bad that the two fantastic NLCS games included in the collection don't have an alternate audio track. That is literally my only complaint about the set.

Besides being able to actually enjoy re-watching and listening to the games for the first time, I love that you can choose which innings you want to see from the menu, too. Another thing I liked about this collection is all of the game & team trivia and the box scores of the games included on the DVD covers. That was a very nice touch! The bonus disc containing a few actual highlights of the Giants' season and the hometown parade was another feature I really liked.

All in all, every Giants fan should buy this collection.

Video Quility is Not That Bad! Love the Giants Too Much NOT to Own This Set!

Nope, it's NOT on blu-ray. I would have loved that too because I love 1080 HD, but people, the quality is really NOT that bad and is much better than most of the other A&E World Series sets, besides I love the San Francisco Giants more than I love 1080p. I remember watching the Giants play the Dodgers on KTVU back in the 60's with my father. Yep, 2 or 3 camera angles on a 20 inch black & white television with rabbit-ear antenna reception. I'm 52 now and have waited my whole life to see the Giants win it all. To be able to savor these games, and watch them with Kruk & Kuip & Dave doing the play-by-play is worth the price of owning this set today.

The games and the added 10 minutes or so at the end of the games along with the alternate audio tracks are just about everything I need. There is a very small bit of coverage of the parade at the end of the game 5 disc, and it really would have been nice to have a disc of the parade, but I'm doing just fine with this set. It also includes a "Bonus Disc" of "Milestones" and "Post season" play. Included on the disc is one of my favorite moments from the 2010 season....Aubrey Huff's first home run as a Giant. It's one moment I'll always remember and will always chuckle about.

Hardcore Baseball fans and even maybe casual San Francisco Giants fans would be doing themselves a favor to pick this set up, especially since it's under $40. That price may not last.
