After a critically acclaimed debut album, "Maurice White" and "Earth, Wind & Fire" released their 2nd "Warner Bros." album, " The Need Of Love", in just a few months...The energy (not the song "Energy") of the album is like the debut, only looser...

That was really evident of the song "Energy" (Ok, but I had to make a point earlier)...It's 9:39 of a loose groove, with "Ms. Sherry Scott" reciting a Poem in its beginning...

"Beauty" and "I Can Feel It In My Bones" follows the same vain, only a little more structured Musically...

"I Think About Lovin' You" (Written and Preformed by "Ms Scott", and the Crown Jewel) is a VERY, VERY nice Slow Jam...It is still heavy on the "Jazz" side, but that didn't make a difference whatsoever...

The last song in "Donny Hathaway's" "Everything Is Everything" rounds out the album nicely...It has nothing on "Hathaway's" version, but it's a excellent rendition all the same...

Even though this, and the first album were well received by the Critics, the Public SNUBBED them...It took years later for People to realize how great these albums were...As a result though, because of the "We Didn't Make It" factor, most of the group decided to leave, only leaving "Maurice" and "Verdine" behind.......

That's ok though, because I am sure, with things to come, that would be the worst decision the former members would ever make!!!!!!!
