Margo Martindale and the comically able ensemble help to elevate The Millers above its typical sitcom format, though the writing is still mostly generic.

Dorothy Rabinowitz Wall Street Journal This Seinfeld episode invariably comes to mind whenever a new program leaves a viewer dumbstruck by the realization that network programmers actually saw this product and put it forward anyway, one of the network's proud entries in the fall comedy lineup. Oct 8, 2013 Full Review Diane Garrett TheWrap You might find yourself laughing in spite of yourself at The Millers. I know I did. Oct 8, 2013 Full Review Willa Paskin Slate The Millers is lowbrow and simpleminded, but it's not the farts' fault. Oct 4, 2013 Full Review Tom Gliatto People Magazine Everyone works so hard - including Arnett, even if he never lets you see him sweat - that this comes very close to succeeding. Make it a little less broad in future weeks, and it might. May 5, 2017 Full Review Jenna Mullins E! Online Will! Margo! Beau! We wanted to love this show so much because of how much we love you guys, but...we just couldn't. Oct 10, 2013 Full Review Jessica Johnson Time Out Chicago With an incredibly talented cast and a creator who's excelled at family comedy recently, it's surprising that The Millers is such a misfire. b a This show had the potential to be so good as Will Arnett and JB Smoove are hilarious as always in it. I am not sure why the replaced the child actor a few episodes in but every scene with her was cringe worthy. This show could have been on the show for several seasons if they made the father character not so overwhelmingly stupid, removed the child character, had way less of the overbearing mom and absolutely should have not had her living with the main character. Basically the should have changed the whole premise to just Arnett being the long time middling field reporter with the quirky sister and brother in law and fun loving rascal of a friend/cameraman. Then the actual parent cameo would have been fine but an imbecile and an overbearing karen make this unwatchable at times. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a great sitcom. I really liked it. The show's comedy and plot is very funny. It's one of the best sitcoms I've seen on TV. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Very Great comedy I Love it!! It has the lady from Justified and That musical (Forgot the name of it) and Long mire. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member funny but average....but a constant comedy...never up and never down....should be renewed...
