          My copy of this record is translucent (appears brown in color), normally indicating "audiophile grade vinyl". Anyone else's? The deadwax info is a match. Seems like that would be mentioned in the release info. Also, by the way, it sounds incredible.

              One of the truly great lost records of the 1980's. Punky, Folky and filled with vitriol, sorrow, and latent sexual undertones it contains truly brilliant songs(some even hummable)that when applied to today's political climate still are achingly true(ie...Empire of the Senseless). This record like many Mekons releases struggled to get recognition because of distribution problems and The Mekons more or less adopted the guise of loveable outcasts forever cursed by greedy record companies and their own iron-clad values and fell on their own swords. This is a truly astounding record that also has a Clash feel about. A true Desert Island Disc.
