Frank N V Made me watch it again after the first viewing, it's at the very limit of what I can tolerate for gore or subject matter, but it was the very ending scene I knew I had to see it again, it has the right mix of subject, getting to the edge but not quite crossing it, keeping you guessing then making you watch it again to see what you missed. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/16/23 Full Review Julie G Proper jack the ripper atmosphere. Really enjoyed it.Great acting and a story you will want to see through to the end. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/09/23 Full Review Gareth v A glorified tele-movie. Nothing original, nothing exciting. So bland in so many ways. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 06/22/23 Full Review olivia b I read many different reviews. Was surprised how many bad reviews there were. First, I watch MANY movies. I take a lot into account, like dialogue, story, scenery, acting of course. I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. Acting was excellent. Loved the twist and turns of the story line. I do love this time period and thought the scenery was represented very well. The casting was excellent. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/04/23 Full Review Stephen W It's a lot of fun with some very good performances and there are some lovely set pieces. It's let down by the viciousness of the murders and the twist. Good way of spending a couple of hours. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Love a good period piece. Extra star for solid set of knockers and a breath-taking bungus. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Nathalie Atkinson Globe and Mail It translates novelist Peter Ackroyd's densely historical and cerebral foray into the horror genre into an entertainment, without being weighed down by Ackroyd's numerous fascinating but imaginative layers and tangents. Rated: 3/4 Oct 13, 2017 Full Review Michael Sragow Film Comment Magazine The moviemakers have more on their minds than mounting a Ripper-like Sherlockian detective case with an unusual blend of grit and lushness. Sep 11, 2017 Full Review Richard Roeper Chicago Sun-Times ... this nasty little Victorian London horror film has more than a few blood-soaked charms of its own. Rated: 3/4 Sep 11, 2017 Full Review Richard Crouse Richard Crouse Isn't much of a penny dreadful thriller - there's too many red-herrings for that - but it does spill enough of the red stuff to satisfy fans of Victorian horror. Rated: 3/5 Mar 1, 2021 Full Review Leigh Monson Substream Magazine You may still have fun with The Limehouse Golem, but you aren't likely to come away enriched by the experience.
