Audience Member After watching "Hell or High Water" I was intrigued to see more of Mackenzie's film work. This felt like a student film; low budget and pretentious. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review andy f For me this film fails in almost every aspect. It tries to be a moody, atmospheric drama, it tries to be The Wicker Man. It was simply unengaging. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Risible bollocks. Extraordinarily pretentious but actually has very little, if anything, to say about anything. Pretty photography, not badly acted, but I'm sorry, we need more. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member After watching Young Adam by the same director I was expecting big things. I was disappointed. Not a bad film, just not good enough after seeing his first. The acting was okay, not great. The cinematography was poor inside, but fantastic outdoors. I wanted something great here, and was left wanting too much. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member (****): I really liked this film but I realize that it is not for everyone. It carries the same mood/tone of a film like The Wicker Man but does not follow a similar storyline. Eccentric acting and beautiful Scottish countryside locations help out the film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Drama? Comedy? Horror? This low budget yet fantastic piece of British film will lead you through a twisting story and guessing late in the game as to what genre of film you are really watching! A hidden gem and well worth watching. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
