The doc doesn't examine the full careers of the Kliq boys (HBK, HHH, Nash, Hall and Waltman) but specifically their close relationship with each other and the influence they had on the WWF and WCW back in the day. There's some interesting behind the scenes glimpses and chat with the main men alongside relevant contributions from many others including Vince, Taker, Bischoff and Shane Douglas. It's watchable stuff though not the most Earth shattering of pieces.
The matches themselves are the usual mixed bag of PPV and lesser seen TV stuff - the quality is remarkably high when the boys are all still together in the WWF but things slide away a bit after the break up in 1996. I've listed the content below with a few random thoughts.....
17/05/93 - Razor Ramon v The Kid - Great place to start, I've seen this a hundred times but it never gets old. Short, sharp, brilliant.
21/06/93 - Razor Ramon v 123 Kid - The slightly lesser seen rematch which despite a painful looking slip from Kid, is almost as much fun.
29/11/93 - Diesel v Razor Ramon - Solid little match with the expected screwy finish and post match antics.
06/12/93 - Shawn Michaels v 123 Kid - Excellent, energetic, back and forth stuff with an ending that keeps the storylines ticking over. The only problem with this one is Razors dress sense when he turns up.
21/02/94 - The Quebecers v Razor Ramon & 123 Kid - Tag Titles - Fun, chaotic, all action tag scrap. Unsurprisingly, Shawn and Diesel aren't far away again.
20/03/94 - Razor Ramon v Shawn Michaels - IC Title - Ladder Match - I've genuinely lost count of how many times this has been released on DVD/Blu Ray. Is there anyone left on Planet Earth who doesn't own this? Anyway, it is an undisputed classic.
30/04/94 - Razor Ramon v Diesel - IC Title - More good fast paced fun that could've perhaps used a little more time to be even better.
30/10/94 - Shawn Michaels & Diesel v Razor Ramon & 123 Kid - An almost lost classic here from the Action Zone, it's always surprised me that it's not seen the light of day on DVD/Blu before. A cracking, epic, heated tag match.
23/11/94 - The Bad Guys v The Teamsters - Old school Survivor Series 5 on 5 action here. Pretty good action too with story advancement and a dominant looking Diesel. Almost like they were building him up for something.....
22/01/96 - Razor Ramon v Hunter Hearst Helmsley - So Tripper finally turns up and is easily overshadowed by his choice of valet (Shae Marks). The match is standard TV stuff.
18/02/96 - Razor Ramon v 123 Kid - Cry Baby Match - Decent enough match with a horrible gimmick. If you want to see a grown man dressed in a nappy then look no further.
28/04/96 - Shawn Michaels v Diesel - WWF Title - No Holds Barred - Diesels swan song in the WWF and it's an absolute belter. Best of Kevin Nash's career? Probably.
13/05/96 - Shawn Michaels v Hunter Hearst Helmsley - Not a patch on some of the later battles they'd have but an entertaining, competitive scuffle all the same.
19/05/96 - MSG Curtain Call - So here it is, this is what all the fuss was about. You've likely seen clips of it many times before but this is the full 10 minute version as shot by an exuberant fan (who turns up in the doc as well).
12/01/98 - The Outsiders v The Steiners - WCW Tag Titles - A typically overbooked but enjoyable enough Nitro title match. It's more about what's happening outside the ring and the titles get kind of lost in the shuffle.
25/10/98 - Kevin Nash v Scott Hall - Compared to their WWF work, this is longer and more measured. And not as good.
25/04/99 - Triple H v X-Pac - A slow mid section drags this down somewhat but it picks up in the end.
28/03/02 - Kevin Nash, Scott Hall & X-Pac v Hulk Hogan, The Rock & Kane - Relatively formulaic tag stuff but the novelty value carries it through.
18/05/03 - Triple H v Kevin Nash - WWE Title - I really disliked this at the time but viewed all these years later it doesn't seem quite as offensive. It's still forgettable apart from the post match carnage.
13/12/09 - DX v Jeri-Show - TLC Match - This slows to a crawl at times but has its moments including an innovative finish that just about works.
The rest are Blu Ray exclusive......
14/07/97 - Scott Hall & Syxx v Harlem Heat - Pretty standard TV stuff enhanced by an amusing finish and a typically energetic effort from Booker.
21/03/02 - Kevin Nash v The Rock - Solid little match but it's what happens afterwards that proves to be the most fun and notable part.
18/12/11 - Triple H v Kevin Nash - Sledgehammer Ladder Match - Big Kev's in slow motion here which is perhaps understandable. A strange feud which is polished off with an average match with the odd big bump.
29/03/15 - Triple H v Sting - Mixed feelings about this one. Not convinced the outcome was best for business but the run ins are kinda fun so perhaps it's best not to overthink it.
And that's your lot. Enjoy.
