  Bringing back most of the cast and support players like Michael McKean, this works better than the first, giving this family more to do (wrong) in their suburban vignettes and underlying tensions, and more opportunities for Mull’s smug corduroy humor. Twice as long as the original! Everyone involved is getting more comfortable in their respective roles, and it’s novel to hear Shearer doing the announcer voice a few years out from The Simpsons.

  Better and more fleshed out than the original.

  Killer cast with even more additions.

  This had a lot of moments that felt like classic Simpson's bits.

  Martin Mull is great and nobody plays a white dad like Fred Willard.
