Who Framed the Good Cop?

Warning: Spoilers
A little slow, a little dull at times, but this could be the next cop show that the world of TV needs.

Josh Groban is different than your typical leads. He is boring, but there is something about that that works in this environment. And Tony Danza seems to be at least trying in this role.

I'm intrigued. It may get dull after awhile, but right now the pilot was solid.

Brilliant

Lot of jokes, very funny, and very touchy moments between father and son.

Subtlety Great

The storytelling is simple in almost a comic-book fashion, yet the actors bring it both quietly and real, showing us that simple can still be truly excellent. The depth here is how easily the characters grow on you, how the actors get it just right, and the way we get to walk through the episodes with them, at their sides, unraveling the mysteries at hand. Tony Danza is fun to watch and then he's unexpectedly endearing, all in perfect context with the tale. Some reviews are selling this short, but I think the writing, directing, cinema photography, and acting are all absolutely first rate. If you pass on this show, you'll miss a creative and well-done bit of entertainment.

Dismally boring

I don't know where to begin, it lacks virtually anything you could think of that might make it a good show. It lacks the humor you'd expect for a comedy, it lacks the action or drama and writing for a criminal suspense... in short it just lacks. In fact, I thought, maybe its just this episode and the next would be better... it wasn't. I couldn't bring myself to waste the time to watch a 3rd episode.

I find that rather sad, I liked some of Tony Danza's past work. This simply isn't the vehicle his career needs to go anywhere, it is more like being in a trainwreck than anything else.

Such a letdown.

Every aspect of this show is lacking. Every joke falls flat, every action scene is laughable, and the characters lack any bit of depth you would want. Not surprising that it got cancelled. Don't waste your time.
