La premier partie du film est superbe. Lorsqu'ils sont enfant le film reste agréable à regarder... Mais alors après quand ils sont adultes c'est juste nul, on comprend rien et il se passe n'importe quoi, c'est juste ennuyant.

i don’t think this was something they could adapt in film, in relies too much on theo’s experience and internal monologue which means they had to use exposition to a mind numbing degree even though my boy was crazy traumatised

i also feel that the beats i put weight on in the book weren’t even shown, which is the main thing telling me you shouldn’t adapt a 800 page, character driven novel without all of your heart in the game…

in my first weeks of my first ever job the manager who asked me on the interview to choose between european and american cinema shouted 'goldfinch! goldfinch! has anyone seen goldfinch!'
i kept silent because goldfinch turned out to be somewhat disappointing for a then fan of donna tartt like me

anyway after the job interview i never spoke to the cinephile manager ever again
