Alex P A Good cast makes way for a decent second world war film. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/08/24 Full Review Nol P In my attempt to try and watch every fairly known war movie eventually, I finally watched The Eagle Has Landed today. Pretty darn hokey bananas in many regards this was. Acting is quite suspect much of the time and wow did it take forever to get to any real point and any action scene. So far fetched too on a plot to try and kidnap Winston Churchill and with yet another weak effort by Donald Sutherland in a war movie. Best I can give this is like 4.5 out of 10 as there was at least some interest at times for two full hours and some half decent action scenes at times. If you miss, do not fret it though. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 12/27/23 Full Review Lomer A Super performance by Michael Caine and the rest of the cast. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/14/23 Full Review M F One of the best ever war films! A crack German commando lands in England to kidnap Churchill. Great acting, charismatic scenes, genuine emotion and some very realistic battle scenes, not like in current movies. You end up sympathizing for the Germans. Michael Caine at his best. Must see Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/17/23 Full Review MAX V A great Romp. WW2 fantasy that doesn't fail to entertain. Escapist historical fun. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/24/23 Full Review MUHAMMAD NASIR K FILM STORY. ACTING , DIRECTION, ACTION SCENES - LOCATIONS & FILM DIALOGUES ALL ARE SUPERB. OVERALL THE FILM DESERVES 4 STARS OUT IF 5. 👍 Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/21/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

James Jackson Times (UK) Based on Jack Higgins’s novel, it is hardly plausible, but it’s fun to see so many acting favourites (there’s also Robert Duvall, Larry Hagman, Jenny Agutter and Donald Pleasence as Himmler) among the watermills and blooms of Norfolk. Apr 11, 2024 Full Review Vincent Canby New York Times With so many failed suspense melodramas turning up these days, it's refreshing to see one made by people who know what they're about and, in that knowledge, have no delusions of grandeur. May 9, 2005 Full Review Eddie Harrison film-authority.com …a rattling good tale that deserves a place in the roll-call of populist war movies… Rated: 4/5 Jan 5, 2023 Full Review Dane Lanken Montreal Gazette The sort of movie that's ideal if you've got a couple of hours to kill. Aug 25, 2022 Full Review David Sterritt Christian Science Monitor There are whole scenes that could have been lifted from other hackneyed war dramas, and scarcely a moment of real human feeling amid all the broad gestures and occasional howling clichés. Nov 11, 2021 Full Review Matt Brunson Film Frenzy Crafted with meticulous precision and infinite patience, the film unfolds like a good novel, with compelling exposition eventually giving way to thrilling action.
