Audience Member It is a very complicated story of two families related by blood. The acting is superb. The story keeps you on your toes. The two children are good actors. The girl is excellent. It shows a very different side of Italian life. Not very dolce. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member I think presentation-wise, and the story itself, is pretty depressing and sick and thought-provoking; unfortunately it's just not the type of genre I like, hence the rating. I actually rated it slightly higher than I would have. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Interesting commentary on how family impacts decision-making. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Perhaps I would have liked this movie more if I hadn't liked the book so much. IIn the book, two brothers and their wives go to dinner to discuss an undisclosed problem with their kids. Little by little their relationship and the full extent of their dilemma is revealed. In the movie, there are subplots, the "problem" is fully explicated and is actually less severe than in the book, and the characters are pretty cartoonish. Big disappointment. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Really interesting movie, the plot becomes much more complex as the movie goes on. Its all about what people are thinking behind what you see. Its very deep and thought provoking. Highly suggest it, but you gotta be in the right mood for this type of movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Italian family drama of brothers whise kids get involved on crime. Totall unexpected turns tiwards the end, including the end itself. Roger Moore Movie Nation Not as good as "The Hollywood Version" (filmed with Richard Gere and Steve Coogan), but it still makes for an engrossing immersion in families under stress, siblings still "rivals" when the stakes - years later - are at their highest. Rated: 2.5/4 Mar 21, 2020 Full Review Pablo O. Scholz Clarín Painful, but certainly real.
