      Audience Member It is a very complicated story of two families related by blood. The acting is superb. The story keeps you on your toes. The two children are good actors. The girl is excellent. It shows a very different side of Italian life. Not very dolce. IIn the book, two brothers and their wives go to dinner to discuss an undisclosed problem with their kids. Little by little their relationship and the full extent of their dilemma is revealed. In the movie, there are subplots, the "problem" is fully explicated and is actually less severe than in the book, and the characters are pretty cartoonish. Big disappointment.
