Esra K this is probably my favourite film of all time Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/16/24 Full Review Audience Member I want to know more about The Crying Game. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/05/23 Full Review Johann D. M 🏳️‍⚧️This 1992 thriller follows a member of the IRA, who has a brief but meaningful encounter with a British soldier who is being held prisoner by the group, and later develops an unexpected romantic relationship with the soldier's girlfriend. A very original and though-provoking story that would end up getting the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay, out of other 5 nominations. The suspenseful film keeps the audience involved and when its famous 'shocking' twist comes, it is deeply engaging to see the main character forced to decide between what he wants and what his nature dictates he must do. Stephen Rea's acting is flawless and his nominations are very well deserved. As controversial as the film may be for its time of release or because of its portrayal of a transgender character from today's perspective, it has undoubtedly become a relevant film that needs to be seen and respected for its subject matter. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 06/29/23 Full Review Kris C Not sure which will ruin your day more -- the horrible script/premise or the unwanted closeup of male genitalia. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/05/23 Full Review michael d Good early 90s staple. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member While this movie came across a bit dull at times it had good twists and surprises, and Miranda Richardson looked really good and attractive in the movie. I thought that the plot was set up well too and while some things weren't the most memorable, I also liked the acting. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
