GREAT LOCATION. This was our first stay here and we left completely satisfied. The hotel is located on the north end of State Street, a very happening place lined on both sides with restaurants, bars and shops(as well as numerous side alleys). You can walk (downhill) from the hotel all the way to Hurley Street and then turn around and walk back up other side of State Street and have a pretty full half day of exploring. If you want to see the coast, the pier, and the Funk Zone a car is a better bet than walking. The hotel itself looked like it had recently had a complete makeover. Everything was new and clean. Many thanks to whoever designed the shower which is a modern walk-in with a glass screen wall and shower controls on the opposite wall from the shower head so you can adjust the water with getting cold and wet. Will wonders never cease! The hidden gem at this place is Saint Remy, the small restaurant next to the beautiful pool area. We had a dinner and a breakfast there and were surprised by the sophistication of the food, all something that we would have expected in a much fancier and expensive restaurant. Please try the Breakfast Sandwich, it’s just fantastic. It’s served on a brioche bun, thick cut bacon, and eggs with cheese. “Eggs” doesn’t really convey what was served. These were much closer to European style eggs, I.e., not dry and overcooked, just tender and moist. This kitchen is a hidden gem.

Great location. Brand new! There are 2 “sides”- a converted old bdg and new bdg. Room overlooking pool attached to lobby was good. Easy parking. Walk to tons of food.
Cons:
Cut the thumping bar music at 8! 10
is too late- its all families!
Auto light under entry mirror goes off randomly all night. Need way to disable.
Bathroom light also turns on in middle of the night

Had a wonderful two night stay in the newly renovated and hip Courtyard Marriott. The hotel has a cute Miami Beach vibe with a great pool area, bar and restaurant. There is also a mezzanine area on the 3rd and 4th floors which were great views and nice to sit and have a glass of wine. The rims were clean and comfortable and had all amenities needed. The hotel is on the Main Street and walkable to many restaurants and shops. Front desk attendants were friendly and recognized my status by offering a free drink coupon and $10 food and drink voucher per night. Overall we we’re delighted with the place and would recommend it!

The experience was not good. As a Platinum Elite member I'm suppose to get the best rooms. I was given the only room in the hotel without a view. I used an upgrade night expecting at least a view. The hotel was more than 50% vacant with plenty of rooms with views. I looked at a wall. It was a handicap room which I am not. The shower needed repairing. When I checked in the toilet had been used and not flushed. Disgusting. And, it was overpriced for a week day in April. They only offered me one other room that was as bad while the rooms with views remained vacant. Also, parking is $30/night even though you can park on the street for free. They did waive that because of the other issues but I would not have paid it since it was not on my reservation, their website or my confirming email with the total stay amount. I am getting tired of paying Marriott $300 a night for an average hotel and then getting charged anywhere from $25 to $75 for parking. So every time I am charged for parking that is not disclosed, I cancel two nights for future stays. Parking fees are getting out of hand with Marriott.

Had a leak from the heater/ac unit leaving a puddle and a loud dripping sound. Found it upon returning from an event late at night, so called the front desk. Response was slow and not very helpful, employee was asleep at the desk when we had first walked in. Gave her a second to figure things out while we got our things, but lacked and courtesy when we got there for a new room key. Next morning front desk did not attempt to make things right and lacked any compassion when my girlfriend went to speak with them. When checking out all I was offered was that they sent engineering and got the 30 dollar parking fee removed after pressing further.

I stay in a lot of Courtyards for work. This is the best one yet. Modern property with great pool and jacuzzi area, 3 floor patio to work, 4 floor patio to work. Think they should consider that most weekdays are people working remotely and turn down the music on the terraces. Rooms have character and nice decor. Wish light under mirror didn’t go off when someone walked by it. ..annoying at night. Room 315 not much of a view but quiet. Think it would be noisy to overlook pool area. Very kind staff. Thank you for early check in and late check out. Your Green Table, Corazon, Santa Barbara shellfish on the pier were some favorite eats.

Lunch in the Saint Remy restaurant by the pool. Brand new restaurant with windows overlooking the pool which is on the same level. Varied seating, at the bar, pass though to the pool, regular seating and three sort of booths, each with its own flat screen TV so say 6-8 people can enjoy a game or hearings on CSPAN. Great hamburger.

As a platinum elite member, 2 suite night awards were used for an upgrade (awards were cleared 5 days prior for the BEST available) for a suite with a "city" view. This is their idea of a "city" view ... otherwise, the hotel was clean, staff was great! Sitting on our balcony would've given us a view of the easement between an apartment & the hotel with apartment people sitting, talking & smoking! Great view!! Also, 1 regular/1 decaf coffee would've been nice w/more than 2 cups!

Newly renovated hotel close to the theatre district on State St. Walkable to upper State … Arlington Theatre, Granada Theatre, Public Market. Staff was friendly and helpful when I needed to find a quiet place to work early in the morning; check out the outdoor patio on the 4th floor. We stayed in room 262 and was pleasantly surprised how quiet it was at night. It overlooks the pool/hot tub. There are other rooms in the renovated part of the hotel that overlook the street so not sure about those rooms. If you are looking for something quiet during the day I would consider a room in the newer part of the hotel above the lobby since the music and pool can be heard from our room. It doesn’t have a bistro but a third party restaurant; however, there are many food options a short walk away on State Street. I would recommend this hotel and stay here again.

First room was over the pool, despite booking city view. Room had a strong chemical odor and then we realised our socks and bags were wet as clearly they’d had to clean something from the carpet. Also zero soundproofing from the pool or bar area. Moved to back room, which was quieter until 5.45am when the garbage trucks arrive. Drapes don’t fit the windows, so the room is lit up by the strip lighting outside the window all night. Apart from that, the rooms are dark and dingy and the shower doesn’t work well. It’s fine for a one night pit stop en route somewhere, but I wouldn’t recommend for any longer.
