Edited 4 months agoGreat work! whoever mastered the DVD did much better than whoever mastered the CD
God Save the Queen Sounds absolutely amazing. even on a cheap home cinema surround sound speaker system it absolutely pops out giving the impression of the drums thundering away behind the listener.
none of the other tracks produced a surround effect like that but all of them sounded very good and Seattle sounds fine here unlike the muddy abomination on the CD- Edited 6 years agoDream compilation ruined by baffingly uneven mastering,
listen to how inexplicably muddy "Seattle" sounds in comparison to "Holidays in the sun" even though the recording is 10 years younger! the DVD release was much more satisfying.
I will be sticking with the Much Maligned "Flogging a Dead Horse" and PiLs "Greatest Hits so far" comp cds - Edited 8 years agowith a slipcase art work of John Lydon in black and white and a sticker "special edition two disc set with bonus tracks & mixes
