Absolutely a joke. Went there with 4 adults and 2 small children. Cashier couldn't figure out how much we had to pay. All of a sudden said 65.00. We had to do the math to correct her, it was 35.00. Walked into this crap hole barn that wasn't heated, and they literally had kids stuffed toys as their "display". 2 live fish was all there was. When confronted about what a joke their "establishment " was, they got very upset. We demanded our money back and had to fight for half an hour.

Just don't even bother! My fiance' wanted to stop by this place as he is an avid fisherman and thought they may have some neat stuff inside. Uhm...if by "neat stuff" that includes stuffed animals (yes, literally stuffed animals that children would play with), old, rotted taxidermy animals, and fish tanks you can barely see in, then sure..neat stuff. We were followed around the whole time by the guy/kid there. Who kept trying to make my 18 month touch the turtle he was holding. The place is poorly lit and very dirty. It smells horrible in there, and the people who are working there are not clean either. That may be mean, but it's the truth. Neither looked they had bathed in a few days and they were less than fresh smelling. There is no aquarium. All the signs throughout the place are hand written, very poorly at that. The place is just creepy. I couldn't help but think, "yep this is how my whole family is going to die. Some weirdo is going to come out of the shadows and kill us all." Literally you guys, it was creepy! The sturgeon they have there lives in a dirty, way too small tank, IMO. They have this rickety old "stage" they want you to walk up on. The risers on the "stairs" to get up there are waaay too tall and its an accident waiting to happen. They have a "bridge" over the sturgeon tank that my daughter wanted to keep walking on and I didn't trust it as some of the boards were broken. The lady who was also there kept trying to get me to buy some dusty old book for $15. We never did venture back to the trout ponds. I couldn't wait to just get out of the place. Please don't waste your time or money on this place. Maybe a one point a long, long time ago, this was an awesome place to visit in the Dells, but now, not so much. Not really for sure why this place is even in the tourism catalogs they send out and why they even allow it to remain open.

My title sums it up. Seriously, do not give this place a chance. We thought it looked sketchy but decided to give it a try, thinking that the inside would look better than the outside. BAD idea. We literally didn't see any fish (the tanks were black with dirt!) and it was the most unkempt place I've ever been to. WAY overpriced and really disgusting. We kindly asked for at least half of our money back after walking through and thankfully the man gave it all back to us.

This place seriously needs to be shut down. I don't know how it is still in business?

My boyfriend and I went to the Fish and Wildlife "museum" at Beaver Creek and I can't express in words just how terrible it was. First of all, we got there and experienced THE WORST customer service I've ever seen/had in my life. We walked up to the man who was suppose to sell us tickets and he didn't even acknowledge us. After 30 seconds, I had to say "excuse me sir, we are interested in going to the museum". He finally said okay but continued to do nothing about it. It was very awkward so I asked what was in the museum. He said "stuff". Umm okay..haha. Then he explained to me that he's never been in the museum so he doesn't really know what's in it. After 5 minutes, he charged us $14.00 and told us to walk back to the museum. A man named Josh meet us over there and started rambling off about how bad his day was going, how he ran out of gas this morning and how crabby his co-workers are today. After 5 minutes of rambling, he unlocked the door and said okay go inside...have fun. We went in and I couldn't believe what I saw. There were stuffed animals in glass containers and poor/ horrible taxidermy in cages. It stunk and it was horribly humid and dirty in the building, There were pipes and hazards on the floor. The "aquarium" had 3 fish in it and the water was almost black. It was disgusting. I strongly encourage you guys NOT to go to this "establishment". It is a scam. I asked for my money back very politely but the man (who ignored me earlier) said there is a no refund policy and I am "out of luck". I can't believe how this place is still in business. I'm planning to take further action and reporting them to the DNR. PLEASE spend your money elsewhere!!!!

I don't know why after all these years the wi dells convention/visitor bureau is still allowing this horrible business to remain open. It's disgusting how they rip people off. Please stay away from this place and all the other businesses run by these people.

I researched their website prior to going and thought it was a little "fishy" because their website wasn't very up to date. They advertised "Combo rates", but didn't list the prices. Their site made it seem like you could go fishing for $6.50 per person, and for catch and release, you just need a non-barbed hook. Ok, seems reasonable. They also were supposed to have an Aquarium on site as well. When we got there, no one was at the "Aquarium" which looked more like a large storage building. The sign said to push for service and a loud horn went off. Then a guy drives up and asked what we were interested in. We said the aquarium and fishing. He said the minimum charge was $10.00/person (even our toddler, really?), but if we wanted to do catch and release, that was $34.95 per person...What? I asked him why they didn't have this posted anywhere, including their website and he said we give information to people in person instead. Quite the scam I must say. We told him we weren't buying anything and just left. Do not waste your time, money and energy at this place!!!

My husband was excited about this aquarium so we stopped to take our kids. The lady was super nice but this is not an aquarium and that should be taken off the sign. All of the tanks have been drained and replaced with stuffed animals. At the end there was an area that probably used to be an area to touch fish. One of these pools was drained, the other had two or three fish that you could not touch because they bite. Spend your money elsewhere....

A TOTAL rip off! Why this place advertises that their open year round, is ridiculous! He willingly sold me and family tickets ( my children are 2 & 1) handed my husband a key to open aquarium. There was a sheet of ice I fell on as soon as I walked into the facility. THE BUILDING is not heated! It was a high of 1 degree outside! I could not bring my two young children in here. There were no fish either! I thought I was coming to see an 80,000 gallon aquarium!! Guy wouldn't give us our money back. I'm speechless. Shame on people like this, taking advantage of families. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Several places we saw that the aquarium was free. When we got there, the cost was $7.95 per person. The aquariums were so dirty. You weren't able to see if there were fish in them. There were spider webs and dirt hanging from old plastic tableclothes from the top of the tanks. There was a tank in the back filled with fish that you could feed. The gift shop had spider webs on the products. Except for the person that came to take our money, there were no employees around after that point. This place shouldn't even be open!

This is the movie with the exception of the chainsaw. The "guide" followed us around like a stalker. Continued constantly asking my wife where we were staying. Old crabby freak of an old lady wondering the property. The guide conveniently had just stocked the small pond and the fish wouldn't bite, but the large fish pond had many biters! That's because they were the large fish which cost 1.99 per inch not the 99 cent version. We have learned our lesson. We won't be back to that spot for sure! All total 10 minutes of fishing for our 2 kids = 150 bucks. Plus the 6.50 admission fee for 4. We did catch the fish, but that not really the fishing we were expecting. Oh well lesson learned!
