Synopsis

Inspiring drama about the relationship between an unemployed English instructor who takes a job as counselor at a summer camp for severely disabled children and his young charges, The Acorn People (the children affectionately refer to themselves as "nuts" and wear handmade acorn necklaces). Cloris Leachman is the camp nurse, Dolph Sweet is the ex-Marine director-cum-commandant, and LeVar Burton is Ted Bessell's fellow counselor.
