Includes parodies of everything from silent comedies to porn, including an ultra violent "three stooges" style comedy team who put a new spin on the eye poking gag.

A fake documentary (although a real mockumentary) about the fictional Adequate Studios and the various trash they put out, represented in a series of skits.
Mildly amusing but easily skippable, if you're not curious about seeing Bruce Willis and Ben Stiller making early appearances in their careers.
"Father Knows Beaver," the 50's sitcom, illicited the most laughs from me.
“Worth it” for the cast and the fact that, I have to imagine, this worn VHS rip on YouTube is the only real way to see this anymore. It’s one of the doomed curios that’ll disappear once the VHS’ die. I want to champion it for that, but it doesn’t do itself any favors.

That’s Adequate is a terrible attempt at a mockumentary by a guy who has no idea how to write one of them. It is about a third-rate film studio that spends its time making movies that are similar in content to famous films, but with a terrible twist. Just imagine someone trying to make a faux documentary about The Asylum, but this studio isn’t even that good. The initially surprising thing about this movie is, with the above guys in it, plus a cast absolutely packed with stars and other well-known names, is how difficult it is to find. TV showings seem non-existent and it’s never been released on blu-ray or DVD, meaning we lovers of the offbeat have to track it down via VHS or less-than-legal means (which still means a battered 25-year-old VHS transfer). Information is very scarce about it, too, meaning the reason for this lack of availability may forever remain a mystery – is it in some sort of legal limbo? A barely worth it mockumentary buoyed by its cameos (Bruce Willis and Martha Coolidge) and hammy performances (Richard Lewis and Robert Downey, Jr.) as long as the gags are broadly silly instead of its sadly more dominant forms: extremely poor taste, at the expense of someone, or otherwise hyper-sexualized to the point of exhaustion.
