Tess Daly

Tess Daly has co-presented Strictly Come Dancing since the show began back in 2004. Dubbed 'Miss Sunshine' by the late Bruce Forsyth, she brings elegance and a touch of warmth to Saturday nights.

Raised in a small Derbyshire village, Tess' modelling career began just six weeks after her 18th birthday, when she was approached by a talent scout in Manchester. She went on to model across the world, appearing in music videos for the likes of Duran Duran. But in 1999 her life changed forever when she was given her big break as presenter of The Big Breakfast's Find Me A Model competition.

She's since presented shows such as Children in Need, The Royal Variety Performance, Just The Two Of Us , SM:tv and The National Lottery: This Time Tomorrow, alongside her long-running role on Strictly. In 2008 she even took part in the Strictly Children In Need special, snapping up the winning spot with Anton Du Beke as her Pro partner.

Outside of the TV world, Tess is married to fellow presenter Vernon Kay and has two young children, Phoebe and Amber. Writing is also her passion, having released two novels since 2011.
