I love this album. I think what you have to do is understand that this is not a Licks album, this is a Juliette album. The lyrics are wonderful and the sound is on point. She kills. Artistically she has many sides and this is but one. The name of the album speaks to this. All in all it's a top for me.

Not a bad listen. Omar's always GOLD. Not very MarsVolta-ish so if that's what ur looking for stop here. Lil' trippy here and there and that radio release (sumthin' bout a bar???) is terribly repetitive. 3 and a half stars is more accurate.

The music sticks with you which is what I consider a sign for liking a CD. I like her Juke Box release more though.

It took me a while to digest the album... A little heavier than my taste in music but a must have if you love Juliette Lewis. I found the lyrics very interesting. A great road trip album. Hard Loving Woman is incredibly good...

Meh. I like it... but usually choose to listen to what I love instead. A little too angry, needs a little more soul and/or emotion in the vocals.

Great cd! Great songs, number 8 and number 12 are my favorites, but the whole cd is awsome! A nice touch of punk. Lewis is really talentous :)

Reveals good talent of a well-known actress but little-known singer.

Reviewed in Japan on December 20, 2010

LOve it

Juliette Lewis' acting career takes a back seat to her stage presence and audience control. See her live and this album will bring a smile to your lips every time. Musically, it's good enough to stand on it's own feet though so if you are in to alt rock, this little known gem is a must have.

Absolutely stunned!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on October 20, 2009
I have only ever known Juliette as a one of a kind actress but after hearing the album I am sure she will have a bright future in music, although it may be a hard task shaking off the actor-to-singer tag unfortunately! Juliette has an exceptional voice, she has a very powerful and emotive voice which really gets my core, she has a wonderful grit to her voice similar to that of Janis Joplin at times but Juliette has many shades to her voice which all really surprised me. My top tracks would have to be 'All Is For God', 'Terra Incognita', 'Junkyard Heart', 'Ghosts' which are all EPIC! but seriously the whole album is bubbling with classic tunes. I am even confident enough to say this is probably my favourite album this year thus far and that is something I never expected to think...:o This album crosses many genres, rock, pop, blues.... and Juliette proves she can deal with them all with ease, hopefully she'll make more music, she's found herself a fan in me.
