- With such great Johnny Craig artwork from Vault of Horror, this has to be the best Cramps boot ever, right? Wrong. Club 57 is available dozens of times, and, on my copy, anyway, there's a pressing flaw which leads to multiple skips during the demos on Side D. Disappointment abounds on this one. The pilfered artwork is cool though.
- It’s a shame with such cool artwork that the live takes on this are not listenable. For the hardcore completist Cramps fan
- The shows are barely listenable the sound is bad and very thin and high... but it's still interesting... The demos sound is a little better. The record sleeve is very cool with a Tales from the crypt look. For fans only. Don't start listening to The Cramps or try to present them to a friend with this one.
- This live show was posted for free download in the flac format at dimeadozen.org and is still available there! I was disappointed about the mastering of the live show and must say that the original flac files sounds much better! More base, more power! Takling about the unseen pics, I could not find any never before published photos anywhere! The used pics here has been published in well known magazines like Best (france), Rock and Folk, (france) Melody Maker (uk) etc. or do circulating in the internet. There are unpublished hot pics from the show that has sadly not been used for this album.
- Edited 12 years agoJust when you thought this is it for Cramps releases, someone pulls out this Killer 1979 CRAMPS radio show out of nowhere / This has to be next to the "Nazibilly Werewolfen" 10" the best unofficial Cramps Live record ever. The Studio Tracks can be found on other various Boots, but the quality here is great and much better than on previous unofficial releases. Release comes in a nice EC comics style cover with lotsa never before published photos inside the Gatefold,. Superbo release and highly recommended, get it when you see it. I believe it's also out on CD.
