Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We visited on a rainy day and found the place hard to find even with GPS. We parked faraway and could not find their parking lot. The occupy part of a building and many parking lots are confusing. Once we paid with an employee who speaks no English, the fun began. The exhibits are very interactive and we enjoyed trying them. The place was not too crowded and we could not see all of it. Finding your way around inside the maze was not the best. They could use more signs and maps.

Awesome experience with an interesting expedition of the history of technology..assembly line of the Porsche 911, lots of interesting exhibition about robotics, the history of factories, media, traffic....etc. Its really stunning, your kids will be smashed and you will end up spending hours there.

We just wanted to have a look at the Technoseum - and ended up spending about 5 (five!) hours there.
The Technoseum offers lots of insight into the development of technology in the last 200 to 300 years. Everything is presented in a most interesting, even fascinating way with lots and lots of 'hands-on' presentations. It gives you an excellent impression of the industrialization as such and of its impact on man. And it tries an interesting look into what the future might hold.
For kids (aged 6+) this museum offers more learning and hands-on possibilities than one child can handle in a day - so you'll have to go there more than once.

It's not just the exhibits or the interactive displays - the architecture of the place itself is amazing!

The museum was the best aspect of our stay in Mannheim. It is not solely aimed at children, although they will find the interactive displays interesting and educational. A little difficult to navigate around but well worth the effort.

Well organized exhibition, but all the information is in German, except the interactive displays ment for the youngest visitors of the museum. They probably could work in making it more understandable and attractive for foreign visitors.

Positives: Large place, many many hands-on scientific things to touch and experience. You can easily spend a good 4 hours in this place, plan a minimum of 2h. They have some massive displays, for example, a working waterwheel driving an entire weaver shop.
There is a lot of walking.
Negs: Bring your own food to eat in a small bag, you need to check backpacks and there is only one place to kinda sit and kinda eat, with a couple vending machines.
Most of the explanations are in German, with only some English pages here and there. But overall, you get the hang of it.
Follow the recommended path - easy to get confused.
Still, worth the visit, too bad my kids were not with me.

Enjoyed this museum with its eclectic collection of artifacts. The hands-on approach was very appealing. More English labelling would be helpful to tourists. Also, the layout of the place is ridiculously confusing, with absent signage.
