Update: I've read a lot more of the book and I really like it. It's very interesting to hear from Vince himself and also the sections where his family members talk about their view of Vince growing up and getting started. I still have a lot left to read and I am enjoying it.
The Crüe made it to 5 great albums, the rest of them being not quite what they could have been if things hadn't collapsed after Dr. Feelgood.
It's unfortunate that there is - or was- quite a bit of bad blood between the guys, but Vince doesn't dwell on that as much as he could have in this book.
Nothing too terribly new for those who've read The Dirt, but still worthwhile for Crüe fans.

Overall, a recommend - especially for anyone who's enjoyed The Dirt or Nikki's Heroin Diaries - but, for me, not just as satisfying as those books.
