Though it occasionally stalls, Talladega Nights' mix of satire, clever gags, and excellent ensemble performances put it squarely in the winner's circle.

Liam C Couldn't get all the way through it. I was really disappointed. As a motorsports fan and a fan of Will Ferrell, this movie really shat in my face. It's very awkward and not at all funny. If you're a redneck and have a low IQ, maybe you'd like this film. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/08/24 Full Review Mike W Full of belly laughs and physical comedy, Ferrell and Reilly show their on-screen chemistry for the first real time in this one. Their stupidity combines with the smarmy antagonist of Sacha Baron Cohen and a host of wildly variably characters (Adams, Cole, Bibb, Duncan) to make for an extremely fun film. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/04/24 Full Review alan g Will Ferrill usually makes offensive movies but this has no redeeming value at all. In your face insulting poorly acted as usual. Avoid at all costs. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/18/24 Full Review Tee M I find Will Ferrell hit or miss. This one is good dumb fun with a brilliant supporting cast. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/07/24 Full Review Justin I If you ain't first, your last! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/24 Full Review Alec B There's a lot of offbeat and weird jokes (some land, some don't) but the problem is that the movie takes the plot too seriously and ends up playing like a spoof that isn't actually spoofing anything. Steven Snyder TIME Magazine A comedy with horsepower to spare. Jul 31, 2008 Full Review Tim Grierson Screen International Playing to his strengths, star and co-writer Will Ferrell reaps many good comic moments early on in Adam Mckay's feature to compensate for a sluggish second half. Jul 25, 2008 Full Review Nell Minow Movie Mom The disappointment of this movie is not that we don't see enough of Will Ferrell. It's disappointing because what we do see, we've seen before, and better. Rated: C Mar 3, 2007 Full Review Cory Woodroof For the Win (USA Today) What else can you say about Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby? It’s one of the best comedies of the 2000s, a rip-roaring Bush-era satire of American excess and full-throttle competition. Aug 21, 2023 Full Review Edward Porter Sunday Times (UK) Ricky Bobby may not be as well known as the other RB [Ron Burgundy], but the film's carefree silliness has plenty of funny bits and pieces. Jan 23, 2023 Full Review Richard Propes TheIndependentCritic.com The perfect summer movie. Rated: 3.0/4.0 Sep 25, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews
